Actually, you can get into RVing pretty cheap right now. There are lots of RVs on the market at really discounted prices. And lots of people and dealers have decided tht RVing isn't for them. So there are RVs coming into auctions of surplus, seized, and repossessed goods.

Check out the government auctions for great deals on motor homes
This is a photo of a Ford Leprechaun that went on sale at a U.S. Marshall's auction in April. You can get these really nice motor homes for dimes on the dollar.

The FEMA campers coming back on the market for sale
This is something you may want to check out. You'll remember FEMA stockpiled campers in 2005 for the Hurrican season. Then they were blocked from giving them out after Katrina. They put them up for sale for a year in 2007 and sold about 10,000 before they were stopped by a congressional committe. Now they're on sale again.
