4 Things You Need To Know About Rabbits

If you acquire a rabbit, be prepared to give it as much time and care as you would a dog or cat.

Rabbits, by nature, are clean and neat. They can also be affectionate and social, intelligent and sensitive, playful, curious and mischievous. Many rabbits get along with cats and dogs, but the animals involved need to be trained, and you should closely supervise early interactions between rabbits and other pets.

Rabbits are afraid of predators, and they can literally be scared to death. So when you pick up a rabbit, hold it securely so it feels safe. The reason many people get scratched by rabbits is that they don't hold them properly.

To keep their teeth healthy, rabbits need hard items to chew on. Bunny-proof your home to protect wires and furniture, and provide the rabbit with plenty of chewable items.

Rabbits Huches

You should have a big huch for your rabbit, remember to try as hard as possible to let your rabbit out of the huch at leaset once a day, rabbits can stay indoors or outdoors but they must always have a big huch so when they in there huch they have enough of space to hop about, the best huch is a big huch with wire in the front and a little cosy room in the back made only with wood and not wire which they can sleep nicely and warmly in, there should be a door on both the two sides of the huch, the door on the back place for sleeping should be closed always and should only be open when cleaning the back of the cage, the other door in the front should be opened when feeding them, cleaning the front of the cage or letting the rabbit out of the huch ect, always have a heavy bowl which cannot tilt over and spill the food or drop the water, you could use a water bottle for rabbits, the water will also stay much cleaner with the bottle!

Taming Rabbits

Here is a little bit on how to tame your rabbit!

To tame your rabbit start by giving him/her a treat which she likes, first put the treat in front of him/her and let him/her eat the treat from your hand, talk softly to him/her, when he's/she's used to eating the treat from your hand try rubbing softly and gently on the head, still talk softly in a calming way to him/her, pett your rabbit and make him/her feel safe with you, then after your rabbit is tame you may want to carry him/her, you can then carry him/her but remember rabbits do not like to be carried, even if they are very tame!
