Right now its 3 am and I am watching a news channel named "GEO NEWS" giving a report on OBAMA fighting for the President seat of the U.S. which is one of the most developed countries in the world. The report had a part where this interviewer went in the rural areas where the white skin people did not actually want a change in the American way of living and didn't want Obama as their new leader. The reason behind it was naturally Obama being a black man. A person who fully did not belong to the US, who actually was not white in color, who according to them wasn't a part of them.

Why? I ask myself why the most developed country is facing a problem of race where leadership is the question. I ask myself why a person is judged by what religion, cast, or race he belongs to.

Pakistan is a beautiful country. It's not because I haven't gone anywhere else in the world. It's not because I live in it and I am being biased. It's because this country has given me and my family the status of life we are leading now and to tell you we are living quite happily. People around the world really have a wrong idea of what Pakistan actually is; it's not a country where everyone is a terrorist. It's just unfortunate for me to be hearing about my country this way, which in fact is not. It is a country whose name means "Pure Land" and how could this pure land be bad? And how could the people living here be bad? Not everyone is bad. Every country has bad people and everyone tries to improve their way and thinking of living and in Pakistan we all also do the same.

The problem here too is that by looks I am the same as my friends look like but when my name is heard in a gathering of friends, people tend to go away from me, they treat me as a fish out of water, and I am treated as an alien. Doesn't my blood go through my veins the same way as their does? Doesn't the sun shine on me as others? Do I really live a different life than others?

I don't say that everybody here are biased on that behalf, there are many of my friends, actually mostly who do not think this way, but when even some think otherwise , I really feel bad. I feel I need to take some action, but what am I supposed to do. Am I to go in public and shout for not treating me like the way they do. Will they change? Many questions and no answers and I adjust to every situation and try being far away from people who will not change when they know me as a person and pretend to stay normal with me, although deep inside, either they want to go away from me or try to force me to change my religion or just say bad things about me.

What is that one thing that will break all the barriers of race, religion and caste and teach each and every single person not to judge or treat anyone with respect to the above mentioned and only by their deeds?

i agree with u. There is a lot of discrimination and favouritism in our country. i dont know why people give so much importance to caste and creed, i hate those who differentiate on these ground.

On religion, i would say, never leave ur belief and dont disturb anyone's.

This should be stopped, just Live and Let Live!
