Rachael Leigh Cook was born in October, 1979 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from high school in 1998 but she was already an experienced model. She started when she was 10 and, helped by her parents, she joined a modeling agency and started doing both local and national modeling shots. She started her acting career with commercials followed by a part in the film '26 Summer Street'. She then hit the mainstream with an appearance in the The Baby Sitters Club. After that she made 11 movies in 3 years, including 'Carpool', 'Living Out Loud' and 'Strike'.

In 2000, she returned to her first love, the world of modeling, when she was the cover girl for the premier issue of FHM US.

Since then she has become a fixture on our screens and her highest profile roles have been in the films 'She's All That' in 1999, Sylvester Stallone's 'Get Carter' IN 2000 and 'Josie and the Pussycats' in 2001. Cook has also regularly appeared in a number of independent films and in the 2005 television mini-series 'Into the West'.
