Racist People
62
Are you racist?
-Do you love and relate or do you hate and discriminate?
-Are you sure you have the power to judge?
-Did your God give you that in your ignorant grudge?
-Are you that much better than one that is different?
-Do you think you are pure in your ignorant stint?
-Do you refuse to learn from a different race or color?
-Do you make your own decisions or live through actions of others?
-Or you an individual or a follower of your racist brothers?
-Do you live for separation or do you seek relation?
-Will you influence love or hate in the youth of our nation?
-Will you be proud of your individual life at the end of your days?
-Or will you regret the follower life of your twisted dismay?
-Is there a difference in blood or color of skin?
-All is mixed race and blood when it took 1 to begin.
-Do you refuse to realize this in your ignorant ways?
-Will you live a love filled life or a hate filled daze?

Great questions son. Now what do you think I am?
Hello Ralwus, Hmrjmr1, Thank You for reading/commenting. Much Appreciated as always. Thanks Hmrjmr, Glad you liked.
Ralwus, I don't think you have hate anywhere inside your mind or heart. Thank You.
Nice hub, but nicer and prettier is the child in your avatar. Congrats !!!!!!
Hello tantrum, Thank You Sir. Much appreciated. My new life!
Wonderful words and questions everyone should read this and ask themselves these questions.
I think each one of us Knows if we are or are not racist. It does not matter what those who choose to judge us without knowing us think. My words do not compliment our President and some of his People, therefore it is assumed I am a racist. You can't win all,, Nice Hub and thought provoking,, thanks.
Hello Triplet Mom, GreatAmerican, Thanks to each of you for reading and commenting. Much Appreciated. Thank You.
God no, I am not a racist, nor willing to be one... I loathe racism and racist people everywhere. It is just an inhumane thing to hate anyone or judge anyone. Thanks marine.
I hate racists !
Hello Shamel, Badcompany, Thank You for reading and commenting. Much Appreciated.
Shamel, great words, no humanity in racism.
BC, Hate = Hate, I think correcting racists would go further than simply hating racists. Thank You.
Thanks for this wonderful hub. Great questions!
Hello floeticpoet, Thank You for reading and commenting! Much Appreciated.
"Racism isn't born, folks, it's taught. I have a two-year-old son. You know what he hates? Naps! End of list." ~~Dennis Leary
Our family look like a gathering of the UN! When every family looks like that maybe, just maybe racism will end...
lol Nancy, even then, there will still be racism and generalizations to some extent unfortunately. Race would be a huge barrier to overcome. Maybe one day we will get past skin color to start working on the other racism.
Thank You for reading.
Marine
Unfortunately, racism is not the root cause of the problem.
The problem is power, and power only sees weakness.
Sometimes the weakness is a minority but that is just one facet. Within a race, especially the Caucasians the rich and powerful have mistreated the poor and weak in their own race. They may be even more brutal with another race but it may just be that that race is weaker.
It is not only race, but religion, politics and just plain size. The big pick on the little just like the rich pick on the poor. If you are not the norm than you are prey for those that are stronger, whether you are too fat, too skinny, too short, too passive etc.
There are always exceptions in life, but I believe that I have correctly state the general rule.
My point is that we need to protect all of the weak and not just those that have a good organization behind them.
The government enumerates certain classes for protection such as race, sexual harassment, age, religion, gender but there is no protection within a class.
For example, a white male boss harassing a white male worker gets no protection from the government. Many bosses can discriminate against you just because they don't like the way you look, even if you look like their brother.
Overweight people are discriminated against in many places and in many ways. Yet, there is no help for them.
The list and the examples go on, but the point is still power and weakness.
Sorry, I went outside the lines of your hub.
Great hub and great questions. Racism is bad and should be condemned in its entirety. Thanks for questioning.
I too have no time for racial hatred-just go live somewhere like an island so we don't have to deal with ignorance and waste our time-wow where did that come from?
thanks
Hello Opinion Duck, Thank You for reading/commenting.
I think power in numbers is the main reason for racism as you stated.
Thank You for reading and comment Philipo, lyricsingray. Much appreciated.
Lyric, I think we must force ourselves to deal with the ignorance to find correction. However, an island sounds tempting. lol
Why is it that racism is so hated and yet so clung to in this country and in the world. I am comfortable with my friends but I don't mind mingling. I know folks though who are racist to the core but would never admit it. They see racism in everybody. The reason the grocery store has a shortage of hotdogs is because some white guy didn't want them to have them. Everything is racism. And in clinging to that everything actually becomes racism. Can't we see that we all need each other. We can look at people like God does and simply love them even though they are different or even odd to us. We can get used to folks and then they will be an important part of us, of who we are.
Thank You for reading/commenting no body. Great thoughts, thanks for adding.
Great questions...very well presented.
Thank You for reading and commenting Sonja, Much Appreciated.
Great piece Marine. I’m a Southern gal, raised in the loving bosom of a large extended family of racists. I wrote an essay about the paradox, but still feel protective of my racist relatives. Just don’t think I can publish while they live and breathe.
Hello rmcrayne, Thank You for reading and commenting.
I truly understand where you are coming from. As much as I loved my grandfather, he was not the one to teach unity.
I think it is very fortunate that you and I could seperate into individual views from our family's teachings. Some never do.
Great hub very touching. Look forward to more.
Thank You for reading and commenting mpurcell. Much appreciated.
