Radio Flyer Wagon
My Review of the Radio Flyer Town & Country Wagon
It has become something of a family tradition to spend weekends at the park with my kids. Packing for these trips has always included finding activities and toys for my two sons to play with together. The problem is that there is a five year difference in my boys' ages and finding anything that will keep them entertained and not fighting can be something of a chore.
Their favorite toy on these outings had been a plastic wagon my oldest could pull his brother around in - to both of their delights. Sadly this was not my favorite as more than once the wagon tipped over or pinched fingers and was too small to hold both boys at once. There were only two options; take away the boys' favorite toy or find an upgrade.
Searching through stores for a solution to my problem I came across the Radio Flyer Town & Country Wagon. It seemed like this was the answer I was looking for.

The first thing that caught my eye about this wagon were the high bright red side panels. They are removable for transportation but lock securely in place to safely hold my three year old son. The bed is wide enough to hold both children and the handle folds under for compact storage. At this point I was suitably impressed.
The Radio Flyer Town & Country Wagon seemed like a good choice, plus it is a name I know from my own childhood. The handle is long enough to make pulling hefty loads easier. It's connected to the wagon by a ball joint which means no more pinched fingers and crying children. There is a controlled turning radius to prevent tipping - a great feature if the cargo is a three year old.
The wheels are sturdy steel and rubber. I can tell you from experience that they make for a quieter ride. Finally no more grating sound or squeaking wheels. There is even an umbrella accessory that can be bought for the Radio Flyer Town & Country Wagon for especially sunny days at the park.
I bought the wagon for just over a hundred dollars plus freight - cheaper than what the plastic nightmare cost me - and decided to try it out at the park that weekend. We spent the day pulling and pushing the wagon up and down grassy hills and around the playground until the three of us were exhausted. I was even happy to let the boys eat their lunches in the wagon. At the end of the day taking the side panels off and sliding the whole thing into the trunk was the easiest thing in the world.
As a parent I strongly recommend the Radio Flyer Town & Country Wagon to anyone that is looking for a new toy for their children.

- "It is great for outdoors, and can easily go over all different types of terrain. It is safe because it is hard to tip over, even when you go over bumps. The high walls make it hard for children to fall out." A kid's Review - unknown
