Looking for an exciting career in the ever changing world of electronics? Radio Shack employs over 35,000 people and offers positions ranging from sales associates to service technicians to a number of various corporate and distribution opportunities. Filling out the Radio Shack job application online is your first step toward a rewarding employment opportunity with one of the leading retailers in the world.

Besides more than 4,000 company owned and operated Radio Shack stores there are also 1,400 dealer outlets and 700 wireless phone kiosks in the United States as well as 200 stores in Mexico to apply at. To be a sales associate or member of their management team you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or the equivalent, be reliable, and open to a flexible work schedule.

To begin completing the Radio Shack job application online you must choose from positions in either the retail, corporate, distribution and manufacturing, or service technician categories. Starting as a sales associate, employees may work their way up to assistant manager, then store manager, followed by district manager, then regional sales director, and finally, area vice president.

Applying online for a sale associate position with Radio Shack may take anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes and the application process is comprised of three different sections, the pre-screen questions, the employment application section, and lastly, the employment assessment section.

To be considered for any position, the entire online application must be completed in its entirety. Be sure to list your email address, phone number where you can be reached, your preferred city of employment, and the position you are applying for which is selected from a drop-down menu. Also list how you heard about the position and include the store number, if known, of the location where you would like to work.

The next section of the Radio Shack job application online is biographical information, all of which is voluntary and not necessary to be considered for employment. After this small portion, you will be asked whether or not you're over 18, authorized to work in the U.S., if you enjoy providing high quality customer service in a retail environment, if you're willing to attend training sessions and learn about Radio Shack's products and services, and whether or not you agree to a background check consisting of both credit and criminal checks.

Other questions on the Radio Shack job application online include your amount of experience in the retail sector, how familiar you are with customer service, if you intend on staying with the company for more than six months, and the areas of work experience you have had. The next page of the application includes questions regarding matters such as employer theft, honesty, responsibility, attendance, following policy, and other relevant questions that basically attempt to gauge how valuable of an employee you would be for the company.

Within the final pages of the Radio Shack online job application are the Authorization for Release of Information in which you must list today's date and type in your name as it is listed on the application, which serves as an electronic signature, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure and Authorization page that also must be "signed" before proceeding on to list your personal information including address, previous employers, references, and contact numbers.
