What will be the future of football after this new league called Lingerie Football League (LFL) kicked off on Sept 4 2009. I think this will be good for all new kind of fans who wants to see different kind of football.

The LFL, a 10-team nationwide American football league, features women playing football in their underwear, and will run for a 20-week season between September 2009-January 2010. The league will debut with one game every week in a different league city, for a total of four games for each team over the course of a 20-week season.

The league’s founder, Mitchell Mortaza, a 35-year-old sports marketer from Los Angeles, has organized the annual Lingerie Bowl, in which scantily clad women play for a pay-per-view audience during the Super Bowl Halftime Show for over six years. Now he’s taking things a step further with the formation of The Lingerie Football League.

The ladies of the LFL are ten teams from across the country will compete in football matches for the ultimate shot at facing off against the Superbowl, in their own infamous Lingerie Bowl.This league born out of the commercial success of the Lingerie Bowl a half-time show of women in scanty outfits broadcast during the half-time break in the NFL's Super Bowl. The LFL is a female football league with 10 teams that compete in seven-on-seven full-contact American football, with players dressed in sports bras and short shorts.

The teams have names such as the San Diego Seduction, Dallas Desire and Los Angeles Temptation.The league founder Mitch Mortaza has described the venture as Disneyland for football fans but those taking part say they are serious about the sport and about winning.

Kaley Tuning wide-receiver with the Miami Caliente thinks that this is eye candy for one but it is also football in real.There were try outs for the team and if you couldn't play you didn't make the cut.

When we Watch their Miami team practice, at a sports facility in the suburbs of Miami under the charge of former college football quarterback Bob Hewko, this shows a strange clash of glamour girls and sport. The training is taken seriously and the players work hard and look intense in the huddle but a fancy handbag takes its place alongside the helmets on the sideline. Player are like a model as are picked up ahead of photo shoot in a few days' time. Hewko concedes that looks played a major part in the selection of the squad but, like everyone involved in this venture fans will see a real football.
