60How To Setup A Raffle Tickets Fundraiser
There are many ways to raise funds for your nonprofit organization. One of the best ways, is to setup a raffle ticket fundraiser. Raffles are often the easiest, fastest, and most profitable methods to raise funds for your nonprofit organization.
In this article, I'm going to share three methods of announce your raffle and get more exposure.
Method 1: Press Release
Press releases are a great way to get the word out about your fundraiser. You can use your local newspapers, local radio stations, and local magazines to submit a press release to.
There are some web services that you can submit your release to that are free while the services that get you the most bang for your buck. I recommend you use www.prweb.com to submit your release and use the $80 submission.
Method #2: Radio Stations
This is very powerful! First, you want to create a list of local radio stations. Your next step will be to contact them via phone. Don't be scared to call, they need to hear about your raffle to fill their station air time.
You can joint venture with the radio station to promote your raffle on their morning show or afternoon show. A combonation of advertising can catapult your raffle into the future.
Method #3: Local Businesses
It's under your nose and you don't even know it! What is it? It's your local businesses traffic. Have you ever gone into a subway shop, a furniture store, or a busy pizza place. They have something that you need...
It's eyeballs and traffic! The more people you get the message across, the more raffle tickets you will ultimately sell.
You can place business cards in these establishments with your advertising message on the card. An example may be, "Win a Brand New Corvette!" and then having your contact details, logo of nonprofit, and a link to your website.
I hope these methods and strategies will help you in your fundraising endevours. I recommend a great book called, Raffle Secrets. It will show you the steps to take to setup, organize, and market your raffle fundraiser.
Best of luck! :)
