It Must Start With Cool Parents Who Love Christ

"Where did you learn that?" is a popular question parents ask their children. Depending on the "that" a child learned, a parent may want to take personal responsibility or point the blame somewhere else. Whether parents believe it or not, their thoughts and behaviors are the primary example influencing and directly affecting their child's belifs and behaviors. So if a parent wants to raise cool kids who love Christ, the parent first must be a cool parent who loves Christ.

How do you know if you're a cool parent who loves Christ? Well, parents are obviously not going to be cool to their kids. At least not for long. If it hasn't happened already, the parental coolness factor (or PCF for short) will decrase as you're child's age increases. What truly makes a parent cool isn't what children think but what they think of their children. A cool parent is one who personally servies the Lord and who's goal is to nuture and grow their children through the love and guidance of Jesus Christ.

So, if you've got at least that much going on for you then, congratulations! You are a cool parent who loves Christ! You've reached the very first and most important step in the process of raising cool kids who love Christ. Parenting is a ministry, a privelage, a challenge, and an adventure. The best part of raising your cool, Christ-loving children, is that God is with you and helping you every step of the way.
