An Offer He Couldn't Refuse?

Well, if you found this hubpage then you've already heard the news because you must have googled "Randy Schroeder Leaves Agel" and there I am!

See, I did the same thing when I heard the news and found only a few people writing or making videos about this really huge headline in my industry.

This is very big news if you have followed Schroeder's career in MLM. So here's my advice. Write about it now. Get at least 3 or 4 articles out there about Randy Schroeder or any big news in your industry.

Why? Because it's part of Internet Network Marketing to be among the few that pick up on what many, many people in our industry are talking about...

Literally hundreds of people are going to the search engines in droves right now to find out what in the world happened. Why did he leave? He said he would never leave. (Never say never, Randy.)

Your Network Marketing Upline

Here's my thoughts about why he left. It was bound to happen. Why? Because he is so valuable to any business he's in. Was he the top of your upline? Do you know him and admire him and now your crushed? Please remember this, your success does not depend on him or on anyone in your network marketing upline. You know that intellectually but emotionally, you might have to remind your heart to remember that fact.

Just because some top earner leaves your network marketing business, you are still just as valuable to your own network marketing success as your were before they left. It's always been up to you.

Leaders Are Valuable Because They Give Value To The World.

Randy Schroeder was bound to get an offer he couldn't refuse just like great leaders in corporate America, government, small business men and women who make it big, pastors with huge inspired congregations, etc. Leaders in any arena are valuable because they provide value. Therefore, they usually get the best offers, as they should.

So, You Wanta Be A Leader Other Companies Recruit?

Maybe you don't want to leave but wouldn't it be nice to be recruited? Here's what I think the great leaders in our industry and in corporate America do. They work harder on self development than they do on their job.

Work Harder On Yourself

Self development is critical to leadership. It is absolutely essential to study every day. Leaders are life long learners. They never quit trying to improve. And here's something else I've noticed. They work on their strengths, not their weaknesses. They become stronger and stronger - better and better - at what they are good at, and that makes up for the weaknesses.

Our faults are minimized by our stronger and stronger character when self development becomes a routine.

I heard this idea in a song recently from a fellow Agel partner. It's quite cool. So I put it on MySpace. Turn your speakers on. It's inspiring!

Attraction Marketing

Whether we work for corporate America or have an MLM business, the secret to success is to be an attractive person, a genuine, honest, caring person that other people want to follow. That's leadership.

Attraction Marketing is a term that describes how successful marketing attracts people. In network marketing, those who are successful actually use attraction marketing to market themselves, not their company or products. They build their downline with what Mike Dillard calls Magnetic Sponsoring.

Hi Terri

I think this type of thing is going to happen more and more. I don't know anything about Agel or Monavie, but I believe there is a changing dynamic happening in the MLM industry today. The internet now alllows MLMers to attract and generate their own leads and build their independant lists. Great leaders will develop a relationship with those people on the list. Chances are the savvy MLMer (like Randy Schroeder)has done this, allowing him to put a great recommendation or offer in front of his list that they simply cant refuse.

But I bet the reason he's moved is because he knows his list will follow him wherever he goes because he's positioned himself as a leader that these people want to follow.

I can see you are positioning yourself as an internet attraction marketing leader in our industry. Keep going with Hubs like this. You inspire me.

Sounds like Randy got a better offer. Good point about self development. It's not about the company or product but about what kind of a leader we are and what we have to offer to our downline.

Tania and Sandy - thanks so much for your comments!! I couldn't agree more, after all---what we know for sure is that attraction marketing is the key to network marketing, whether online or offline - it's all about attraction and magnetism. I miss Randy already but I wish him well. He's a great leader.

Excellent points by both Tania and Sandy. The Internet and the Web 2.0 communities have allowed relationships that create trust. This will increase, expodentially the amount of leaders that are created as a result.

I guess we cannot really determine the factors as to why he left Agel. However, despite his decision, I believe everyone of us respect his decision because after all, Randy has his right to decide where he wants to go and we have no control over.

We should be grateful to the fact that he left his knowledge behind for Agel members to duplicate. Maybe he is looking for a new challenge as an entreprenuer, thats what leaders always do, to improve themself each and everyday, because once they stop learning, their value will drop.

Hey Terri,

Thanks for the information. We may never know the whole truth, but you are correct, we all have a chance to be a Randy Schroeder, and with all the new tools, Internet, Social Networks, Renegade Univeristy and the list goes on, we can begin to finally make a difference in our own businesses and our own personal development. I have learned more and produced more in the last 60 days then I had in the last few years, and it's all due to attraction marketing and connecting with people who want what I have without all the sponsoring and selling pressures.

Thanks for sharing the news. Mike

Kenji Tay say's "I guess we cannot really determine the factors as to why he left Agel" - Well Kenji, I can give you 8 million reasons why. MonaVie paid him 8 million dollars to make the move. Sucks he left so many people that helped him build his Agel business holding the bag while he jumped ship and sold out for the cash. Funny he went to a company and the 'juice' industry that he slammed so much during his stay with Agel. But I guess 8 million will make you go against everything you used to say and stand for. I bet he won't give one cent to those that helped him build his business. Take the money and run, good job Randy, your a real winner!

David Wood  says:

Randy Schroeder, in my opinion, is now a flake. Not because Agel is better than Monavie, or anything with the company. He made some (a lot) of promises to a lot of people that he didn't keep, and now he can't be trusted. He may provide value, but it doesn't matter. Funny thing, a LOT of people are not following him over to Monavie. Because they don't trust him anymore. Neither do I. Had he not promised people that he would be in Agel for life, that would be ok, but he did. He promised, he broke his promise, and he is now a flaky, bitch liar no different than any other cut throat capitalist who places money above values. (note: nothing wrong with proper capitalism). In any case, maybe drinking Monavie will help Randy quit his drug problem.

Genn Lai  says:

I am not in Randys line so this news does not shake me or my teams resolve. It is however sad to see a network marketing legend go out as a sellout.Monavie is a fine company and as an advocate for the industry I will not knock them.I however applaud agel for not making a counter offer to make him stay.Robert said that "MonaVie paid him 8 million dollars to make the move" ? Wow every man has his price I guess ,I just thought his would be higher....would like to know where u got the info Robert if you dont mind sharing :)

Carl Boniface  says:

I heard from an insider that he was paid 3 million US to move over. It just goes to show that some people have no integrity. I joined Agel a couple months ago after 9 years out of the network marketing industry. However, when I was in it I witnissed it from a corporate side of running an international territory licence and from an independent distributor's analytical view. For me Schroeder was the only weak link with his script like approach to a personal development business. He may have become a legend in the business, but from my point of view he's only strength lies in his ability to speak fast and follow scripts. If he had any integrity at all he would stop preaching and start listening to what he says!

There are always going to be sell outs in any industry...as stated above, Agel still has blue skies because it's not a copy cat, it's truly original, and the comp plan is making people rich around the world. Agel is not Randy Shroeder, and I truly beleive that even though he was paid 15 million by Mona Vie, he has also killed any credibility he had in the industy.

Anyone serious in the mlm industry should definitely do some hard research on Mona Vie and see all the legal issues they've had and that their CEO has had in the past with other companies.

Just a little info for those of you out there...Randy had a little bit deeper rooted interest in the company...his daughter is engaged to the son of Mona Vie's CEO and that's why he sold out..they figured they'd make it a family affair. True story!

Do some youtube searches and you'll see just how little Randy actually beleives in Mona Vie....what a con artist..but oh well, i hope he's happy with his millions when everyone is turning their backs on him. Nothing wrong with being successful in life people, but being two-faced is definitely a way to seal your failure.

Sam C.  says:

Deals happen regularly in the industry. They've always happened whether they are pubicly known or not. Now as for Randy S. he earned this 7 figure deal with Mona vie. Randy G. has said that Randy and Tara are not even taking any of their Agel leaders with them. That says something about their high standards of ethics.

The challenge of course comes with selling the new opportunity. Mona vie is without a doubt the best opportunity for him but unfortunately for none of the reasons he joined Agel. How do you sell people on your opportunity being the best for them when you know its only the best for you because of a deal that you cant offer everyone else?

That would represent a conflict for me but Randy S. deserves to take the best offer he can get.

Maybe Randy just knows when the market is shifting, and chose to join the fastest growing MLM in the U.S. I mean, a billion dollars in revenue in three and a half years? It's never been done before MonaVie. Plus, the science backing the Acai berry and it's health benefits is undeniable.

Anyone who thinks MonaVie isn't a great opportunity needs to do their research, or at least visit the MonaVie website. It is full disclosure. Check the BBB on MonaVie, its clean. And no other MLM pays 50% off all revenue back too it's distributors! If there's anything Dallin Larsen does well, it's taking care of his distributors.

By the way, the new half year 2008 Income Disclosure Statement is out. Check it out, and see what people have made in just three and a half years! I think I know exactly why Randy came over...

Once again it's another case of a powerful MLM 'leader' turning his back on all of his leaders and team (and company) and jumping ship for a handsome 'back hander' of several million dollars. But we shouldn't be surprised. As it says in 'Success in 10 Steps' by Michael Dlouhy, 'the business model drives the behaviour' and we will continue to see people like Randy Schroeder moving to other companies that are prepared to cross their palms with silver. The bottom line is that most of the income in Agel (and MonaVie) is earned by just a few top earners like Randy. The network continues to venerate them as they are paraded acrosss stage at the company events and in their newsletters but with very little prospect of any of them achieving similar income levels. Let's see how long Randy lasts with MonaVie before the next huge offer comes in encouraging him to start over with another company looking to grab an existing downline and leader from a competing MLM.

Agel Lacks Integrity  says:

Maybe the real reason Randy S left Agel is as he said ... he started to question the Integrity of the company, management and leadership.

After all ... you have Double Diamonds in AGEL who have only ever built one leg yet they are held up as legends in the company. There are other Double Diamonds who have had to have their position moved just to qualify at Regional level. And there now sole Triple Diamond has openly admitted to providing misleading information about the LMB.

Maybe Randy S felt that such a huge lack of integrity was too much to put up with.

Do your research!

Fact Man  says:

He probably left because he was the #2 earner in Agel earning about 80k per month, and in MonaVie there are more than 30 people earning more than $1mil per year.

You can see what people earn in their income disclosure...

Wow, Terri, what a "storm" you got into! Way to go! It's occurred to me that when we sign up with an organization we need to distinguish between the company and specific leaders. While overall ethics and morals of the comapny and in its leadership are essential in my book, individuals will come and go. Even magnetic personalities are, at the end of the day, in it for business. You can't take their actions "personally". Don't really know anything about this situation, but I know it's not the first nor the last time that a big-wig moves on! Isn't everyone entitiled to "live their dreams"?

Hi Guys

I am seeing history played out again with randy. I remember one february at a training weekend with him when he gave his no matter what story (by the way he was a distributor in sunrider not a consultant, another lie?) By May he was gone to synergy worldwide, he then went on to tell the same to that group and left to form agel, now the no matter what story surfaces again and wow he is gone again.

yes he has good stuff to teach about network marketing, but don't listen to him on integrity, he has none. He told me he was going to earn the most significant monthly cheque in nwm, obviously he has decided it will happen with monavie not agel.

no matter what, be careful if you are following randy and expecting him to be there when you need him!!

Agel is having serious issues as of now. Especially with the way they thought they could open and maintain control in so many international markets. Agel has a great product line but it may not be enough.

Randy Gage himself is very concerned at this time. If he is concerned wow thats a major red flag.

Randy Schroeder I think saw the writing on the wall.

Monavie convert  says:

I was agel then I am monavie now.A few reasons why:

a) Exec pack is worth 500 cv and costs USD 1000 however the cost of 500GV with MV is almost half of that .Did I fail to mention that Retail profit and fast start profit get blown out of the water by MVs

b) I have personally ranked up to Silver in a week! (Silver is 3000GV on your lesser leg) Ppl averagely take a month to manager (2000cv)

c) 5 out of the 8 of the compensations are earnable in your first day in Monavie

You cant say the same for "A"

d) Sampling with juice is a fraction of the cost than that of gel BUT MV has gel too that tastes even better! lets do Joint gel VS joint gel please dont lie when u say that FLX tastes great! Active gel on the other hand is larger (1 oz vs 0.75oz) and offers the attributes of EXO + OHM as well.

e) for the last month I calculated that MV had 95,000 new signups! how was agels "BEST MONTH EVER?" sadly we will never know ....

I love agel and it was one of the hardest decisions of my mlm career to leave but whenitcomes down to my team they deserve the best.Global domination is not done by a little kid who sticks his fingers in all over the pie but rather when he eats it whole slice by slice.

Insiderguy  says:

Pretty much agree with you Monavie convert. I also love Agel but after reaching Senior Director under Worre well I got quite abit inside scoop on why my business in Europe was falling apart and then I began seeing ofters fall off in Australia so that was pretty much it for me. The company did and still does have issues... I do however think that it can be repaired and yes Gage and the Feinsteins are concerned. I have talked with 2 other diamonds in Agel about this as of end of Sept. The 1 thing I know Agel is working on is 'ease of entry to max out comp plan' get away from the 1k entry level is a good start. Blessings.

Joining MonaVie  says:

I saw the writing on the wall, MonaVie has created 47 millionaires in just over 50 months and they have hit over $1 billion in total sales in 50 months and are on target and expect to hit close to $1 billion in sales for 2009. This is something I can't simply can't ignore. If you do an online traffic comparison MonaVie has an average of 104,000 unique US hits per day and we has now dropped to 7,800 US hits per day. If you lose a foot hold in the US then it doesn't matter how many countries you open. This was my reason for joining MonaVie.

MLM to my DNA  says:

It's no surprise the MV paid RS a boat-load of cash to do a scoop-and-move. That's the MV business model. There are a plethora of lawsuits against MV claiming they're raping one company after another of its leadership.

Perhaps they offer fat checks to the Generals to penetrate hot legs in their present companies, scoop up the Captains and Lieutenants with cooked-leg deals and feast on that leg until it's stripped to bones and gristle. Then, new target.... many believe that's how MV has created its record volume.

I don't have a dog in this hunt. But watching the human fallout from the dismantling of these organizations is sad. Perhaps it will change the way we do business in MLM. If not, many of us will be choking on our team's evacuation dust.

Andrew is a Sunrider  says:

Hi again guys and girls. just to follow up on the postings. Met with Randy some weeks ago where he presented mona vie in my home town Newcastle Australia. In the room were two of Randy G local leaders and the former ops guy from Agel. This was part of a national tour which i am sure was heavily promoted to all the Agel team plus the periferal networkers like me. Local agel has been inviting me to stuff since they launched and they were having meetings with 100+. This presentation with Randy had about 12 people. Same old story this is the one blah blah.

Gage has not got a great record in picking good companies and the Feinsteins must be wishing they had stayed with sunrider instead of following randy s to agel.

Sunrider pays out without breakage 58.5%. only 17% of that is MLM based. you share in company sales turnover before the owners get paid. paid internationally, nationally and your own group.

Huge company, 42 national operations, 2 million sq feet of manufacturing in several countries (yes they actually make their own products), millions of IBOs and 7000 retail outlets in china. 26 years still growing. products that people are loyal to.

Like mentioned before Randy S needs some integrity injections, then he would be the perfect upline. Agel was always on a short track to collapse, too fast and with other people's money. Mona vie as a product is weak, you can buy acai berries from the same jungle for a fraction of the price without any sodium benzoate preservative, water and other normal juices blended in. Will it last or just burn out and go belly up. The comp plan is built to support the big producers like all binary plans.

Check out the modern Sunrider, discount any silly remarks by gage. it has developed into a great opportunity, not that it ever was a bad one. Randy S thought it was the best available when he left Rexall and stayed longer than he did at Agel (and that was his company).

Cheers to all

Andrew

Rykel from Singapore  says:

Hi all, I was just reading casually until Andrew from Australia starting claiming Sunrider is a better company than Agel and MonaVie. Well, I just wish that you all would NOT believe in that.

Rather believe that all companies have strengths and weaknesses, and if you line them up side by side, the majority of leaders would go for MonaVie (proven - US$1 billion in 3 yrs in 1 country), then Agel (category creator), then Sunrider.

It depends on what makes your chemistry turn. : )

No-brainer...  says:

MonaVie didn't pay Randy crap to make the move. He went to them of his own free will. It's amazing what kind of non-sense people like to make-up, spread and do to try and discredit something or someone. He wasn't recruited and he wasn't paid. He simply recognized that MonaVie isn't 'just another temporary deal' like he had assumed. The difference between him and many others is he decided to take action. We have all said and done things in the past; it's called being a human. Cut the man some slack and give him some credit. The numbers don't lie... MV is the fastest growing networking company in history. They have done a billion in sales in 3.4 yrs. The are producing more successful people and paying them more money for their success. Anyone who is smart can recognize a cash-cow when they see one.

3mths ago I joined monavie.... and I joined Randy's team under former agel Double Diamond Mr. Rob Horkings.

In 5 weeks I reached the rank of Ruby (10,000 GV in the lesser leg for 2 consecutive weeks) I didnt tell my team to "push" for it , I just did regular tastings.....

I wont knock agel but I am very happy with the choice that I made. For those of you who assume I "dragged" my team over from agel let me have you know that there are less than 7 people from my former team in my current team in Monavie. One of them is my mum who was a senior manager in agel (4,000 cv in a month)in her first month she became a Gold executive in Monavie (5,000 GV in ONE WEEK)

Both great companies with great leaders, its just that my journey to be an industry Icon in network marketing has truly begun with Monavie.

Wow that made very interesting reading. It's been a while since I thought about this. Have to say many of the comments are quite outrageous and seem to be based on pure fantasy. Talk about believing what you want to believe when it suits! Also what's with all the phony names? Ben Zona is a good one as I read Hebrew. Very nice!

Randy S is a great trainer but the day he left I received his pitch in my inbox along with many of his downline who received the same (I was not one of those thankfully as I'm with Randy Gage) Legally he is only allowed to bring over his first line. Imagine how his organisation felt receiving those pitchy emails every day from him trying to steal their people many levels down who trusted him?

How anybody can want to build their organisation under someone who is likely to do the same to them in the future is beyond me but hey ho..

Thanks Terri for the great content.

p.s I always thought Randy left cause his ego couldn't stand him constantly being behind Gage even though he joined way before.

If you opened your eyes and see the BS from @MLMoron Suspension Gel Technology (Adverts/Tweets) from your represented company you would say what a bunch of Morons as well (NO you would not put your company/product down).

With that said wake up Gage and look at the volumes of business that is being transacted in the nutritional beverage industry;Noni - over a BILLION Dollars in sales per year (10 year old company)MonaVie - over a BILLION Dollars in sales per year (4 year old company)XanGo - over a 700 MILLION Dollars in sales per year (8 year old company)

Now lets look at the company you represent;Agel - Just over a 100 MILLION Dollars in sales per year (4 year old company) and to note NO ONE thinks the technology really works or they would have copied the Patient Pending idea.

So Gage pull your head in and write information that is open to the whole MLM industry and send it out or if it’s a “jungle juice” (your words) bash just send it to your @MLMoron (Agel list).

This information is my personal feelings and if any one else agrees comment on it as well.

Take care

Hopefully Rob can find his feet again and push his “Jungle Juice” to the poor unsuspecting masses via his “Online MLM Mastermind Mentor - I am looking for success driven people to train and coach to make a full time income online - Are you the one?” Even his lines have stayed the same, with their age old “Yawn” factor.

Good luck in your rambling Rob.... Idiot

Beware of the words people say as fact on this page. The COE of MonaVie has family. His son is not engaged to anyone even Randy Schroeder's daughter. I should know, I am one of the many Uncles of the family. Again, be careful what people say, it is not all truth.

Sorry for my typo....I meant CEO not COE. Oops

Well, I see no reason to argue about that. When you leave an MLM company there must be a personal reason. Period. Whatever the reason is, how is all this discussion going to benefit each of us and our business? I personally think MLM companies are great. In Italy we only have Herbalife, Agel, Xango, and some others in the area of nutrition. I saw some other' s sites on the net about companies we don' t have here yet and I hope they' re going to open soon. They have great products and they' re committed to quality. I think if we work with integrity, we don' t have to care much about the upline or the company. Just don' t count on your upline to build the business. Randy S. leaves Agel...so? Maybe that' s a sign that the time when you "married" your MLM is over. What do you feel about the company? How do the products work for you? How much is your commitment? Maybe that' s where we have to put our focus on.

I think there is too much focus on the products here. That is the problem. It doesn't really matter what company your with. What matters is if you have a marketing list of customers that will buy from you. http://www.homebusinesspress.com/?s1=agel

Hey people didn´t anyone of you googled about Randy Shroeder??

I did so and see what I found: http://www.nyse.com/pdfs/91-101.pdf

Yes... this makes things a bit easier for us to understand. This document shown us the kind of person he is... that when Mr. Shroeder says he didn't received a LOT of money to go to MV, he obviouly lies.

Nothing more to say to you guys...
