Her performances in "Saathiya" {2002}, "Yuva" {2004} and "Hum Tum" {2004} were widely appreciated and won her Filmfare Awards for Best Performance in each of the movies. Her great performance as a Pakistani lawyer in "Veer-Zaara" {2004} earned her a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress nomination while winning several other awards. Then came her biggest movie, "Black" {2005} in which she gave an amazing performance excelling in the role of a deaf and blind girl.
The award winning actress is bracketed in the league of 'Filmfare's Top Ten Bollywood Actresses' for the last four years continually from 2004 to 2007 and listed fourth in 2007 on All-Time Best Bollywood Actresses after Madhuri Dixit, Madhubala and Nargis.
