Rap Music Beats on Cubase or Pro Tools
56Rap Music Beats
So how many REAL producers out there have experience using both Cubase and Pro Tools? I currently produce all my Rap Music Beats using Cubase. I currently own both Cubase and Pro Tools, and have worked extensively with both. I understand that Pro Tools is the industry standard for producing music these days, but I just want some honest opinions from REAL producers out there who have had the opportunity to use both interfaces.
Do you feel that Pro Tools is a better software program for producing music?
What advantages do you feel Pro Tools has over Cubase?
Where as the advantages of Cubase are too numerous to mention them all, the only advantage I have seen with respect to Pro Tools is in the mixing and mastering phases. The functionality of changing levels on the actual file graph itself is unique to Pro Tools and I think that makes it really simple to create level changes without having to use automation. I really like the feature, but what else is there. I feel like Cubase is ten times easier to use for Rap Music Beats and in respect to Midi Projects it is clearly the better program.
Anyway, I know this is only my opinion, and I am writing this with hopes that some other experienced producers out there will respond with some constructive opinions. I will admit that I have had much more time to work with the Cubase software and perhaps that is where my bias comes from, but I know there has got to be producers that have spent a lot of time with projects in both Cubase and Pro Tools. So, Please, let me know what ya thinkā¦
