Are you trying to lose weight for your upcoming vacation at the beach? Want to look your best for a party, romantic dinner or any other special occasion?

It is entirely possibly to shed a few of those pounds in relatively little time. Weight loss is pretty simple once you understand it. But you must keep in mind that the weight should never come off too rapidly. This can be hazardous to your health and it doesn't produce any long term, permanent weight loss results anyway.

When you lose weight to quickly, you will likely lose valuable muscle tissue and you are even at risk of damaging your organs.

You can burn fat rapidly, but make sure you also do it sustainably and above all... keep it healthy!

Fast Weight Loss

In order to achieve fast weight loss, you will need to get a number of things right. You will have to learn more about nutrients. You need to know what you are eating and what it's doing to your body.

Also, you must take up exercise. Both cardio and resistance training.

Be sure to get enough rest as well.

Fastest Way To Lose Weight

Losing weight can be accomplished by expending more calories than you take in. So it is a good idea to figure out how many calories you are consuming every day.

So write a list of all the things that you eat on one day. Then look up on the Internet how many calories those things are. The usual per-serving calorie indication is for small servings. Most people eat servings bigger than the ones indicated. Keep this in mind.

Add up all the calories of all the things on the list. You now know what amount of calories is responsible for maintaining your current weight.

If you want to lose weight, some of the things on your list will have to be cut from your diet.

It is the wisest to cut away completely the things that are unhealthy.

If this eliminates a few hundred calories off your current daily intake, you are already on your way to becoming much slimmer.

Ofcourse, there is always the possibility that you also need to reduce the sizes of the healthy things you eat in order to get even more results.

When you start cutting in the healthy foods, make sure you don't go overboard. After all, your body sorely needs those healthy nutrients!

Fast Weight Loss Diets

You can also completely throw your current diet overboard and start with a completely new one.

I know, it costs a bit of an effort to make a switch like this. It always costs more energy to start something from scratch than it does to keep something going.

But trust me, it is worth the effort.

Here are some ideas for a fast weight loss diet.

  1. Replace the high calorie snacks with healthy alternatives. Don't work against yourself by maintaining a steady flow of candy bars and soda drinks. Those are so incredibly high in calories, you don't even know what you're taking in. Instead, eat an apple, a pear, a banana, a bowl of salad with some dressing, or anything else that's healthy and low in calories.
  2. Eat fish and lean meats. Chicken is a good example of a low fat meat. Fish is also good for you. It contains healthy fatty acids and they are a good source of antioxidants. Salmon, tuna and sardines are all good for you. Get rid of all the beef and pork in your diet. Those meats are no good for you and only keep you from getting results.
  3. Eat a healthy breakfast at the start of the day. Forget about the eggs and the bacon. That stuff won't get you anywhere! Replace this with yoghurt and oatmeal. Make sure your breakfast is high in fibers and low in fat. Use some fruit in your breakfast, such as strawberries. Don't ever skip your breakfast either! It's important to get your internal engine running right at the beginning of the day.

Make sure to watch your portion sizes all throughout the day.

When purposely creating a calorie shortage, it is possible that you will have slight feelings of hunger.

There is not really any way around this, despite what the weight loss miracle products may claim.

If your caloric shortage never exceeds 500, then you can safely burn fat over a longer period of time.

Also, make sure that you drink enough water throughout the day.

It is essential for your health. A lot of people simply don't hydrate themselves enough. This is such an unnecessary waste!

If you are constantly in a dehydrated state, your body is going to store some fluids and it's going to make you look puffy.

Make sure you get plenty of fluids. Your body needs them to transport both the nutrients that go in and the waste that comes out.

When you exercise, you will need more water. Always take your own bottle of water with you when you go to the gym. Forget about all the pretty colored energy drinks that the quacks are trying to sell you. Just plain water is all you need!

Keep all this in mind, and you're sure to lose a pound or two!
