If you decide to forgo fried foods, meats and pasteurized dairy, and instead consume a diet full of raw foods, especially a diet high in raw, fresh vegetables and fruits, you will find that a raw food detox happens naturally. It does not require that you consume any chemical or herbal stimulant that will actually irritate the intestines and bowels in order to release the built-up waste there. Fruits and vegetables are very cleansing and have a high water content to help flush out waste matter and toxins.

Starting a raw food detox can help you in weight loss, general health improvement and chronic health problems that arise due to the excessive accumulation of toxins in the body. When you adopt a raw food detox you may face some effects like diarrhea, fatigue, bloating, or others. Generally, you need not worry as this all is occurring due to the release of toxins from your body. However, if the symptoms of a raw food detox are too uncomfortable for you, you can opt to slow the detoxification process by consuming a healthy, non-toxic cooked dish, such as a cooked whole grain and vegetable meal.
