Why would someone want to read palms? Well there are many reasons... from the obvious of wanting to divine information about a person and well from just having a way to break the ice when meeting new people. Reading palms can be fun and if you take it seriously and develop your intuitive senses you may even become adept at the art of palmistry.

Well to know how to read a palm just by looking at the lines and interpreting them... the short answer is "no". You can read a persons palm lines and just go off of what they show you about the person. Will the reading be as effective if you don't use intuitive interpretation? The answer at least from my experience is no... you should have a level of psychic conditioning if you plan on being a palm reader.

The lines are as follows:

• The line that runs along the bottom of the palm and the thumb is the life line.
• The line at the top of the palm near the fingers is the love line.
  
• The line that runs through the middle of the hand below the love line and above the life line is the head line.
• The lines that are near the life line that may have breaks in them are fate and faith lines.
• The line that circles the thumb below the life line is the pre-life line or spirit line.
  

The Major Lines - Always read the left palm.

The Life Line:

When I read a life line I check to see where the line begins, where there are small breaks or large breaks, and at the crest between the forefinger and the thumb. A life line that starts high up could mean that the person has a lack of maturity, or may have had a hard start in life. A long unbroken life line that goes to the edge of the hand means that the person lives a very set life and has very sturdy values, rules, and is very set in their ways. If the line has a major break the person has experienced a very traumatic life changing event. Many breaks or small breaks means that the person is flighty and lives a care free but troubles life. The end of the line if it splits this means the persons soul has detached from the physical body and they may be in a coma or drugged at the end of their life. Lines that stem from the end of your life line to the love line could mean spiritual returns or that you may linger to be with a loved one that is still alive.

The Love Line:

The love line has many varied features and is one of those intuitively interpreted lines. But there are some standards... The lines that stem off the beginning of the line read from left to right show the number of actual loves a person has. Think of the longest line as the actual and most meaningful relationship that person has had, is having, or will have. Don't let the person being read tell you different then what you are feeling. Just say, I'm just telling you what I see. Lines that go from the love line to the head line mean that your emotions rule over your rational mind, if they cross it means you are wishful but whimsical and you make rash choices. A head line that crosses into the heart or love line means that you think before you act and are a rational choice maker.

The Head Line:

The Head line is a general line... it determines how one thinks, if they are logic minded using the left part of the brain and rational or they are right brain minded using spatial recognition, they are artistic, and emotional. Those with a head line that slopes down are right brained and are usually artistic in nature. They tend to be more eccentric and play to the beat of a different drum. Those with a line that seems to arch upwards are logical thinkers, they are great planners, are good in math and do well with money and make great business choices. Those with a line that stretches to the edge of the hand are usually very intelligent, how to determine this is not always clear, a person that seems average in most ways may still be extremely smart but may not show it. 

The Faith and Fate Lines:

The faith line stems close to the life line. It stretches out from the pre-life or soul line... the faith line or lines can show if a person has spiritual beliefs or if there are more than one line can show that those beliefs have changed over time. Fate line runs congruent to the faith line, this line may show how many people influence your beliefs and have had an impact in your life. If these lines cross into the head and love lines those influences have a profound effect on how you live your life or how your life has been effected by your beliefs.

The Soul Line

The soul line shows the length of your souls existence. A soul line that is almost non-existent is the soul of the guff a newly made soul. This means the soul is inexperienced and may have many lessons to learn this life. A long soul line means that the soul has lived many lives and may be nearing its return to the after-life.

The Pre-Life Lines

These lines that run along the palm from the wrist to the thumb show the number of lives lived prior to the one being lived now.
