If you've ever seen a postcard of Palawan's Helicopter beach, you might attribute its picture perfect quality to photoshop talents. And you might be justified in doing so. Because indeed, Palawan's' tropical magnificence is too good to be true. But really, such a paradise does exists!
And this perfect haven is a must-see for everybody!
With Palawan being the home of rich and rare wildlife, it is the place environmentalist and nature lovers must go to. To start with, there are wild dolphins, performing along the sea coast. If you have a boat and if you are lucky, you might just see their awesome performance. But just so you could guarantee yourself a VIP seat, there are Palaweños (Palawan people) willing to take you on a 45-minute ride to that "dolphin theatre" plus you'll get to enoy a white beach swimming afterwards! And hey, didn't I mention that this dolphin experience is just around the Puerto Princessa city--only a couple of minutes away from the airport! Perfect opportunity for you to make the most out of your stay.
Poets and romantics, Palawan is also the place for you. Why, it's got Sabang! The area is almost uninhabited and you'll feel like you own the entire sea! A very lovely and dreamy place to scribble your hearts content. In time with the sunrise, the beach is being embraced by the first rays of a promising day. And at sunset, the sun's firey embers sets the water aglow. Such a romantic place to propose marriage to your beloved. And just as ideal a setting to spell romance in a honeymoon.
Historians would also find Palawan a treasury of time long gone. For first hand details, you could visit the Tabon cave, home of the primitive Tabon man. There you could find caskets and other artefacts that gives insight into their lifestyle and culture. Plus, with a visit to Palawan National Museum, you will be enthralled of the first encounters of the Asian people with each other, particularly with the Chinese and Indonesians.
Geologists are yet to be amazed by the magnificent crystal-rock formation in the Underground River. Have your share of "oohs" and "aahs" as you picture out what those rock formation turned out to be. There's a praying hand, vegetable garden Cathedral rock formation to name a few.
Oh, Divers, of course!There is the famous Tubattaha reef, also included in the UNESCO's New Seven Wonders. And in one of El Nido's lush island, you'll get to immerse yourself to a colorful underwater adventure. But really, you need not be a diver to enjoy underwater scenery. Colorful fishes are abound, in El Nido for instance, all you have to do is just get a your snorkel set bob down and voila! You'll find many Nemo aplenty.
So, not classifying yourself among the above mentioned titles? But surely, everyone needs to take a break once in a while in their busy life. Most of us needs to get out of the toxic city life even for a weekend or so.
