Commen Interpretation of Success

A lot of people believe in order to be successfull you have to have money. You have to spend money to make money. People believe that if you are from a low or middle class family that there is not way you can be successful. Is this common perception right?

Some Successful People

Elvis Presley - He came from a poor family. They didn't have any money but Elvis made it. He was successful.

Jack Henry - Jack is not a publicly known person but he was successful as well. He started out in 1976 with a business in mind that focused on the banking industry. Jack and Jerry started their business (Jack Henry & Associates) in a rented corner of an engine repair shop and a borrowed computer. Needless to say - these two didn't have any money when they started out. However, 30 years later - Jack Henry & Associates is an industry leader in the banking industry with no debt and an annual revenue of $592.2 million.

The Recipe To Success Isn't Money - It's You

No matter if you have money or don't, poor or rich, lucky or not lucky, - you have success inside you. Being successful doesn't always mean that you make tons of money. This recipe can be used for anything from being a good mother, a good friend, starting a business of your own, and pretty much any goal you have.

The Recipe:

  1. Love yourself
  2. Determination and hard working
  3. Willingness to Learn
  4. Open Minded
  5. Confidence
  6. Ability to analyze situation before making a decision
  7. Ability to stay on track of your goal and not get distracted.

Love Yourself

Some of you may be thinking about people are conceited if they love themselves. That isn't what I am talking about. You have to be happy with yourself before you can be success at whatever your goal is. If you are not happy with who you are on the inside and what actually makes you - you, then you are not going to be successful at any goals you try to achieve.

Determination and Hard Work

This is a big one in becoming successful. You have to be determined and willing to work hard at your goal. It very rarely ever comes easy. You are going to have to have the will power to keep on going. The road to success is going to have bumps, road blocks, and sometimes HUGE walls that you will have to shimmy up and over. If you don't have the determination and drive to keep pushing and going then you will not get to your goal.

Willingness to Learn

No one knows it all. You have to be willing to research and learn about the different aspects of the road to your goal. If you think that you know if all and you don't have to try to learn more or research your goal then you probably won't make it there. There is a slight chance that you may reach your goal this time. However, for you next goal - you may not reach it because you think you know it all.

Have an Open Mind

You must keep an open mind. Ever hear of the saying two heads are better than one? That really is true. You may be going down the road to your goal and there may be a faster easier way that someone else knows. If you have an open mind then you will consider their alternate option. This doesn't necessarily mean you will go with their idea. It is just a way of keeping your options open.

Confidence

Confidence is another biggie in becoming successful in whatever you are doing. You have to have confidence in yourself. You have to know that you can reach your goal. You are going to reach your goal. Don't let other people that don't have confidence in themselves bring your confidence level down.

Analyze Decisions and Stay On Track

To be successful you have to be able to look at your options for a decision. Analyze them and think about the consequences and benefits of each decision. Don't rush in and make a decision on the fly - think about it first.

Stay on track with your goal. Don't get off track. Stay focused on what your goal is and stay on track with that goal. If you get distracted or go off course of your goal then it will take you longer to reach your goal.
