The 2008 Red Bull Air Race world series opened in Abu Dhabi with the fastest planes and skilled pilots racing for the title of ‘Red Bull Air Race World Champion’.

The Red Bull Air Race is a major challenge for the pilots, and a huge challenge for the Red Bull Air Race logistics team that works that works to ensure safety and a good viewing experience.

In 2008, 12 pilots will take part in the Red Bull Air Race World Series. New pilots who wish to participate in the World Series must first fulfil the minimum criteria set by the Red Bull Air Race committee

Abu Dhabi - Apr 10 & 11

The race will take place at the Abu Dhabi Corniche on 10 and 11 April. This is the fourth consecutive year that Abu Dhabi is hosting the Red Bull Air Race.

San Diego - May 3 & 4

The Red Bull Air Race World Series will make its second stop of the 2008 season and will race right downtown on the Big Bay.

Detroit - May 31 & June 1

The race will be staged along the Detroit River, which is one of the world's most trafficked international shipping lanes. There will be two ticketed areas on both the Detroit and Windsor sides of the river

Stockholm - July 5 & 6

the Red Bull Air Race World Series is brought Stockholm for the first time in 2008. Stockholm will host the fourth stop of the season on July 5th and 6th, held in the inner harbour in front of the Old Town embankment and the Royal Palace.

Rotterdam - July 19 & 20

The Rotterdam metropolis has one of the largest ports in the world, the race will be held with the Euromast and the stunning Erasmus Bridge as the main landmarks, the world’s best pilots will do battle in the Red Bull World Series 2008.

London - Aug 2 & 3

The London Air race will take place on the River Thames against the backdrop of The O2 (previously called the Millennium Dome) in the East of the capital. The London Air Race is a ticketed event.

Budapest - Aug 19 & 20

Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world,Its World Heritage Sites include the banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter, Andrássy Avenue and the Millennium Underground railway, the first on the European continent. Budapest attracts over 20 million visitors a year, making it one of the top destinations in Europe.

Porto - Sept 6 & 7

The twin cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, one of the oldest in Europe, were built on the banks of the Douro River, and are connected to each other by several bridges, one of which is the Dona Maria Pia Bridge, designed by Gustave Eiffel and built in 1877. The heart of Porto is a maze of medieval narrow streets, ancient shops, stone-paved streets and Baroque monuments

Perth - Nov 1 & 2

with 19 to choose from in the metropolitan area there’s something for everyone. Some like Cottesloe are popular for families and teens, while others including Trigg and Scarborough are where you’ll find the surfing action
