Red Rock Canyon is just 15 miles outside of Las Vegas to the west and an area of world wide geologic interest and wonderful beauty of nature. Red Rock Canyon has red colored rocks. Why are the rocks red in color? Rocks are of brilliant red sandstone making this an unique, natural sightseeing spot along with some great outdoor activities like rock climbing and mountain biking.
Animals like burros, wild horses and bighorn sheep wandering amidst the canyon. Popular activities include hiking and spectacular views along the 8 mile scenic loop which is readily accessible by car or bicycle. The scenic drive as shown in these Red Rock Canyon Pictures with many stops is a one-way traffic for 13 miles. Admission prices are $5 per vehicle or $20/annually. Some of the wonderful hiking trails in red rock canyon include Moenkopi which is about 2 miles and takes about 2 hours total.

Nice pictures and description. I went to Las Vegas many times but did not know existance of such a beautiful natural wonder. Perhaps, the tour guide companies think that nothing would be left with the visitors aftr gambling in the casinos and so why advertise.
I would make it a point to see it next year and also Copper Canyon in Mexico which is most dreadful.
