I am from Salem so the whole Halloween thing there doesn't faze me. I don't really care about the Witch Museum or the Pirate Museum, but one thing I really love is Red's Restaurant. They are in the heart of Salem and you can't miss the building because its painted red! During Halloween month there is always a line. They have won every type of award for cooking and have the mojo to back it up.

Some of their best work is the pancakes, but if you order them you should only order one because they are the size of your head, literally. If you are a baby--thats two heads! The pancakes are super fluffy and come in blueberry or plain. They are to die for and go perfectly with a side of eggs and bacon.

They have many items on the menu. There are at least 25 breakfast items that range from grilled egg sandwiches to a bowl of cereal to a plate of french toast. The french toast is my pick for 2nd best item on their menu. The bread is super thick and isn't doused in egg like a lot of people do. It is also coated in the most yummy powdered sugar and maple syrup.

You are probably wondering about the service and thats where it gets better. They have the same waitresses all the time. Every time I go there the same people greet me as warmly as before. They are part of the charm of the place. You always know that when you go there you get the same classic food with same friendly service. There is no deviating. This is my pick for the best of the best for breakfast in Salem.
