Cellulite plagues over 90% of all women. It gets lots of attention in the tabloid newspapers as numbers of celebrities unexpectedly have their cellulite exposed by hidden photographers. While difficult to treat, cellulite removal is possible due to some new technologies and cellulite treatments. One of the latest cellulite treatments is Velasmooth.

Quite simply, cellulite is fat that is caught between bands of connective tissue. Cellulite treatments like Velasmooth, Mesotherapy and the Galvanic Spa treat both the excess fat and bands of connective tissue. Lifestyle choices which consists of diet and anti-cellulite exercises are also an essential part of the anti-cellulite equation. No matter what treatment you use, you need to do exercises for cellulite. Of the three treatment options above, Velasmooth is the first that was studied for FDA approval. This makes this cellulite treatment particularly interesting and also vouches for its validity.

The following information comes from an interview with Dr. Gilmore who was the one of the actual doctors to do the research on Velasmooth for the FDA. Before Velasmooth, the most popular cellulite treatment administered by doctors or at medial spas was Endermologie. Endermologie is a machine that treats cellulite by lifting by lifting the skin to break down the bands of connective tissue that holds the fat in place.

Velasmooth also works by breaking down the bands of connective tissue but in a different way. It uses both radio-frequency waves and infra-red light to target and relax the bands. These are the bands that are holding the fat and creating the rippled appearance.

Velasmooth is a non-invasive treatment. According to the recommendations by the people who studied it, the client should get 2 treatments for 5 weeks. After that, a monthly treatment is needed for maintenance.

As noted, this information came directly from the doctor who studied Velasmooth. There are numerous websites, blogs and other webpages on cellulite reduction. But there is one site that has accurate information on Velasmooth and all of the best cellulite treatment options. It's called: http://www.CelluliteTips.com

A new cellulite treatment called VelaShape is getting lots of positive press lately for the role it plays in cellulite removal. VelaShape was approved by the FDA in August. It works by using broad spectrum light and radiofrequency to heat the tissue. VelaShape combines these energy forms with massage to break down cellulite. These are the same methods that Velasmooth uses, so they are either similair or the same cellulite treatment. Doctors are usually pretty sceptical about the various methods that remove cellulite. They are, however, very pleased by what they see with VelaShape.

Velasmooth has proof: This machine doesn't

There is a health and slimming clinic in Spain that has a machine that they claim will stimulate the muscles of the body in order to treat cellulite and help people lose inches. It works by sending electrical impulses to the muscles so that they contract. The makers of thus machine imply that this will take the place of exercise. They way that the machine will contract and relax your muscles like exercise.

The company that makes these machines has been doing so for over 30 years and that a three quarter of an hour session is equivalent to two and a half hours in the gym. This seems like quite a claim. It's hard to believe this claim without seeing actually data from a controlled study plus before and after pictures. Electric stimulation has been around for a long time for therapeutic purposes. Exercise is very multi-faceted. Done properly, it helps people to condition their heart and lungs, strengthen their muscles and bones and increase coordination and balance.

This company needs to show some studies or results to validate its claims. Velasmooth was studied and approved by the FDA to reduce cellulite.

More Mediat And Internet Coverage On VelaShape

Velashape is getting lots of attention online and off. Cellulite is very difficult for women to get rid of and VelaShape definitely reducese cellulitle.

For the last 7 years I have made it my job to discover every way to get rid fo cellulite. It started when I was asked to do a segment on the news to help a women get rid of cellulite through my exercise program. I am an Exercise Physiologist and I managed to rise to the occasion and help this woman get the cellulite off her legs with my program. After that, I continued to look at every other way to reduce cellulite. There are some pretty interesting techniques and treatments that really help. Some of those are VelaSmooth now called VelaShape and Mesotherapy.

VelaShape currently gets media attention because more people are trying it and are happy with the way it tightens their skin.

I reported on VelaSmooth which is now called VelaShape over 2 years ago when it was under FDA investigation. Today, the FDA approves VelaShape to reduce cellulite. The latest story on VelaShape is one of a television anchor in Florida that used it to tighten her tummy. It took 3 sessions. Most people need 4. This procedure is very pricey but people get good results with it.

No matter what treatment you use, you still need to exercise to maintain your results. Cellulite is composed of fat that is caught between bands of connective tissue. Cardiovascular exercise burns the fat that is bulging through the skin. Strength and conditioning exercises increase the muscle tone of the areas that have cellulite and make the areas look much better.
