We can begin to understand our purpose in life by answering this questionaire:
- What is it that people say you are really good at?
- What were you involved in doing when you lost all track of time?
- What is it that you are most proud of in your life?
- Who is living the life you would like to live yourself?
- What job would you happily do even without any monetary benefit for yourself?
- How would you want to be remembered?
- According to you What is most important in life?
- What is it that you get excited about?
- What is it you get angry about?
- How do you tackle both?
After answering this questionnaire reflect upon the answers and you will get some insight on your purpose in life and the type of life and the nature of the career you should select for yourself.

Hi Peggy. Here in India too a person usually goes through a few jobs till he settles in one. This is the usual course one follows. The main thing is job satisfaction. It comes to us when we select a job which excites us and we achieve happiness and satisfaction doing it. Only a lucky few get to experiencing it. Thanks for visiting.
Life is strange,it can be wonderful ,and terrible, depending,on how we live it based on what we believe,is true, through, our experiances ,physical, emotional, and mental.Change it the only constant.
What we believe is true today, may not be true tomorrow ,we are here to learn all knowledge, and one lifetime is not enough. Many lifetimes will be required If ,you were born into a family ,where the father,is in a particular, ocupation, you may ,easily, learn ,that one,or maybe a relative of yours,or anyone else in your life who happens to be in an ocupation, you admire
What I like is so close yet so far from what I do. It seems like the same thing, yet when you're in someone's pay for it, they seem to suck all the joy from it and make it about numbers.
Brilliant Hub. Infact im going to use those questions like a checklist.
Yes jayb. You do that. It can be a sort of game in which you get an insight into your purpose in life and the choice of a suitable career. Thank you for visiting.
Nice
great hub, made me think and I like that
Hi Kulsum..this is my favorite among your hubs. I cant figure out my answer to no. 7 question yet. I guess i have to stick to Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs. Thank you, wonderful hub.
Hi Goldistring. What is most important to you in your life? Makes you think. We have to get our priorities right. Right? Personally, I think, physical, mental and spiritual health for myself and all the people I come in contact with; or, you may say, all mankind, is the most important factor in my life. Again, prior to good health, LIFE itself is the one most important thing in our lives. What do you think?

Those are excellent questions. Alas, not everyone has the choice of doing what they might like to do best and actually make a living at it. But your questions can point some people in the right direction if there is still time to make course corrections and they have the finances to accomplish it.
In this day and age, most people will probably have several jobs in their life. At least in America.......no gold watch after 50 years of working with one company. Those days are gone forever for the most part.
This would be a good questionaire for school children when deciding upon a career.
