Honest review of Regcure software
In all my internet searching recently, I could not find a review of Regcure registry cleaning software that seemed impartial or without hyperbole. Every Regcure review I read just got worse and worse, as it clearly was an attempt to sell the product.
It is my pleasure then to provide a real honest and in-depth review of Regcure from the Parotologic company based of Victoria BC. Without a doubt, Regcure is one of the most popular registry cleaners developed and is a constant source of debate amongst experts and regular users alike regarding it's ability to do as it's intended - clean your registry and give your computer better performance.
First off, a little background on what exactly a registry is. The computer's registry is command central for all your computer's processing activity. It is the heart of your computer's activity, sending out signals to keep data flowing quickly. The problem is, after installing programs and storing thousands of "cookies" from browsing the internet, your registry gets bogged down with unnecessary data. This is where Regcure claims to do its work.
Regcure offers a free scan of your computer's registry and has a pretty attractive user interface. It will show hundreds if not thousands of "errors" that are apparently slowing your computer down. Regcure provides you with the location of the so called error and categorizes them according to their urgency for repair.
You are probably wondering - how does Regcure make money on their software if it is a free download? Well, the download may be free but once it does the initial scan, Regcure will charge you (or more correctly ask you to register) to fix the errors. This really shouldn't be too surprising. Parotologic went to a lot of work to develop the software so it is only right that they charge you for it I suppose. Regcure once fully registered will run you about $49.95 or there abouts. You will then get a key to enter and activate the fixing part of the registry scan.
Now for the interesting part - does Regcure fix the errors correctly and does it actually affect a computer's performance? This has been hotly debated. Most experts agree that the software does remove the data properly but the issue is; does it remove important parts from your computer as well? When I used Regcure I found that you needed to be careful when choosing which errors to fix and/or files to delete. You can easily delete a file that is important to the functioning of your PC. There are safeguards in place, but when using Regcure you should find out which files are important to the overall functioning of your computer before "fixing" anything. This is something most Regcure reviews will fail to mention.
Overall, I found that Regcure delivered on functionality. It quickly deleted and/or fixed the errors that were bogging my computer down. Regcure easily found the tough hidden files that I actually didn't know were there - kind of a scary thought how much crap gathers onto a PC over time. Regcure automatically asks you if you want to perform scans at scheduled intervals. This is a cool feature, but if you schedule them too soon, they can definitely become annoying with the dialogue box popping up from time to time.
As for customer service, I had a pretty good experience with them via. email. They were prompt answering my questions before I bought and equally good after I had purchased the full Regcure version. No complaints here. They deliver on their getting back to you within a business day.
The user interface is pretty sharp and is pretty user friendly - minus of course the ability to know exactly what files are more important than others when cleaning the registry. It's a pretty attractive program.
This wouldn't be a very good Regcure review without letting you know if it worked: Did Regcure actually increase the performance of my computer? Well, this is a little hard to answer. I definitely know I deleted a bunch of crap that I didn't need which is always a plus you would think, but it's hard to quantify the performance change. I did notice a slight improvement in loading programs and my browser which is always good.
Generally, you might find this review underwhelming. But it is an honest review of the Regcure registry cleaning software. Regcure works fine, offers great support and good design and offers some improvement to your processing power. Overall, software that is worth it depending on what you are looking for.
If you are looking for a cleaner computer and getting rid of files you don't need, then this is your program. If you are looking to fix an old computer and get lightning fast results then maybe buy a newer computer instead.
I recommend taking a look at the official Regcure website which has more information and the official free download. I wouldn't trust 3rd party websites to download the software. Better to get it directly from the Parotologic people just in case. Best of luck, hope you enjoyed this honest regcure review.
