"Put things to recycle on the left can; all others on the right." We see this written on Trash cans quite often and it is a good practice to reuse things that can be recycled. When a living being expires, is it logical for recycling, or religiously speaking, 'reincarnation' to take place?

Dust Returns to Dust; Spirit Returns to God; Soul Goes Into Eternity

"Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." (Genesis 2:7)

Jesus said, "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." (Matthew 12:36,37)

Man's body was made from the dust and when he dies, in some way or the other, the body finally returns back to the dust. The breath of God went into the body of man to make him a living being, a spirit. Within this lies the soul which lives on eternally, even after death, awaiting the final day of judgment.

God who created the universe by His word doesn't require that He reuse the things He created to keep going into the world time and again in different forms.

The Deception of Demons and Evil Spirits

Have you seen a demon-possessed person acting like an animal? Have you heard of a person replicating the behaviour of some other person who died in an accident or was murdered several years ago? It is all the work of demons and evil spirits. When they are possessed by the demons or the evil spirits, the person is controlled by those beings of the past and they imitate the old behaviours in the new body, trying to make people believe that the person is a reincarnation. But it is not true for human beings.

However, the demons and unclean spirits are reserved for the day of judgment and they keep wandering in the wilderness and abandoned places, but searching for a body in which they can rest, for generations. They don't mind whether the body is that of a human or of an animal. However, for whatever unknown reasons, they prefer a human body to dwell and there they manifest themselves in weird ways. Some people mistake this for reincarnation of the living being, whereas it is the reincarnation of the demon. The Lord Jesus Christ explains how if a person delivered from an evil spirit doesn't cling on to God will suffer in the hands of more evil spirits, thus:

"When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first." (Luke 11:24-26)

One Life - Be Careful

"It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment," (Hebrews 9:27)

In the judgment, it will be decided whether the man's soul will go into eternal life in Heaven or eternal death (or sufffering) in hell fire.

"What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Mark 8:36,37)

And your only life on this world is going to determine where you will spend your eternity. If someone said to you, "If you slaughter a bull, after death you will be reincarnated into a bull and the bull will become a butcher to slaughter you," you don't have to believe it. If someone said, "Your behavior reveals that you were a monkey in your previous birth," do not let your imagination jump from tree to tree. Your soul is safe as a human being, having hope until death.

Rebirth is Real

Does that sound controversial? It isn't. Read through the following passage:

There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit." (John 3:1-8)

If your soul must live, you must be born of the Spirit. It is an easy, yet essential event in your life on this earth that will determine your eternal life.

"God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17)

"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:12-13)

The children of mankind can become children of God through faith upon His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who came into this world to give us this privilege by giving His life as a ransom for our life which is required because of our sin. All you need to do is accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, believing and acknowledging the sacrifice of His life that He made for your redemption. He was not reincarnated, but was resurrected from the dead, being the Son of God, being God Himself, appointed as Judge of the living and the dead. He shall judge rightly and determine where every soul should go after death, and He will not send His children into eternal death. The key of rebirth is becoming a child of God. Accept the Lord Jesus Christ and the pardon He gives for your sins, and be born again today.
