Decorating Ideas To Relax In

A lot of times we pay special attention to the interior of our homes, forgetting that there is so much more to explore. Introducing nature to our families now-a-days actually makes for a much more enriched life style. Families in the United States have hectic schedules between work, school, sports etc. every day life seems to get going without us. During our down times we usually catch ourselves exhausted and lounging in front of TV’s and laptops while our children are playing with there cell phones waiting for the next rush of schedule to get going. I've found by spending time outside away from lazy couches, annoying phones and the occasional drama shown on TV has brought quality family time to my home. I know so many of my friends are now dressing up there homes with many different types of décor all because the peace it has brought to their family. I started with my courtyard and brought a sense of elegance for my family and friends to relax and enjoy conversation. I have a variety of wind chimes not only for the beautiful tranquil sounds they lend but also because they come in so many variations of sizes and looks that you can really add ambiance to your outside area. In my front courtyard since this tends to be a conversational area I use small water fountains to give a more soothing atmosphere, sort of a tranquil feeling. I also use stained glass ornaments so that during the day they can pick up the natural sun light for a happy feeling and in the evening they pick up the street light filtering it into a soft glow. Garden décor helps bring things together outdoors and this can be from furniture to plants. I‘ve found what helps pull a room together whether it be indoors or out is plants. Now since I don’t have the greenest thumb and watering next to outside furniture is messy I substitute real plants in my courtyard for artificial plants. Some artificial when compared to real plants are very realistic and offer a wider variety to those living in different climates. I often go to a home improvement store where I see the real version and it reminds me of my artificial plants in turn reminding me how lucky I am because I never have to worry about killing them. I’ve noticed a reduction in the amount of damage my dog and cat are creating when I had real plants. Bringing these decor elements into your home and garden will create a safe and calm environment. Now, my family and I spend time together conversing and learning more about each other in turn breaking up the hustle and bustle of every day living that stresses us out so much. You may not think a decorated home and garden will make a difference but it gives you the same feeling as when you come home to a clean house after a hard days work…it’s calming.
