Religion With Their Hands In Your Wallet, Are They Serious?

I am tired of people talking about religion one side of the face, and asking for money on the other side of their face. This is every where. Tell me, brother/sister, are you telling me about religion to save me or to make money. If you are to make money, you are not trying to save me. Or I can be saved if I donate x amount of money to you, your church or your TV program?

I have made sure all of my true religious hubs do not have any money making potential on them. I talk about religion for my love of Jesus Christ, my personal Savior. And for my love of my fellow brother/sister, of whom I want to spend eternity with in the present of our Heavenly Father and Jesus. I want to have eternal joy and to have my brother/sister to have the same.

I put down the gauntlet and claim, how can you trust any one who is trying to make money off from Jesus. Where is his/her heart? If you are going to talk to me about Jesus, I will listen, but if I see the money signs, I will question where your heart lays.

I even go to the point to agree with the athiest and others, that religion for most has become nothing but a big money scheme by the way most people place religion for sale. This as done great harm to Christianity. How many times in the Bible, was it told that money could not buy religion and salvation? Yet, we have salvation for sale, and the masses fall for it. What a ponzie scheme!

I am not what one would call a real student of the Bible , however I do seem to recall a line about the false prophets being revealed ! The televangalist types are really giving worshippers with a true heart a bad rap by society In General . Because they reinforce what doubters think .

Thanks for hubbing by, tony. It is all over the web, and in churches themselves, now.

I believe that God created everything. So money is not good or bad. It is simply something that should be used in integrity (ie, telling the truth about one's agenda) and balance (what one needs is not necessarily what another needs). However, I agree that the examples of those who have combined money and spirituality in a righteous way are few and far between.

Totally agreed with you. Instead of salvation, religions are now becoming much more of money making corporations. And you know what, religions is the most recognize money making brand in the world! I'm not saying all but majority them are, so don't fall on money sucker traps!

Steve and MP,

thanks for hubbing by. I also wonder about blogger who ave their religious pages. Are the blogging for Christ or for Money. I have tried to write my serious relifious hubs, with no monetary connections, and remove them from the few religious hubs I did find them on.

Keep on Hubbing!

Nice bit of writing, oevery. I'm not sure where you're motivation came from for this piece, but you must have some things to get off your shoulders. I'm with you about religions that are thee only for the all-mighty dollar, however. I haven't run into them myself of late. Guess I have my head in the sand and am happy with what I've got. I thank the good Lord each day, read the scriptures with my family each night, and say my prayers. I definitely have felt the spirt of the Lord. He is there answering my prayers. I'm trying each day to be a little better than I was the day before.

Say, oevery, you are like a machine. You write ten Hubs to my one. I'm just not up to posting so often on Hub, I guess. I do post on other venues as well as Hub. I posted today, as a sports fan, about a book on A-Rod I just read by Salena Roberts. My article is found on Bleacher Report.

Yeah Don, I don't think I can write for the bleacher report. I like sports, but I do not follow it close enough to write.

As for the religious stuff. I just want people to know that I am serious about the religious hubs, and it is not for the money. The work of God is not for sale. And to let other know, in my opinion, if they are serious about relgion, then don'ttry to make money off from it. I can't take anyone serious who is trying to make money off from it.. Enough about that rant.
