Remember Me, My Love
62
Remember Me
When the sun rises and the rays stream through the window
Remember me, right next to you
As the birds begin singing their early morning song
Remember me, across from you
Cup of coffee, fresh orange and paper in hand
Remember me, lips kissing you
Door closing gently, in the window I wave good bye
Remember me, watching you go
Tenderly I walk away, beginning my own day
Remember me, close to your heart
When the sun settles and the moon appears with the stars
Remember me, I welcome you
Our day apart ends, alas we are together
Remember me, my hand in yours
Serenity washes over, peace beckons my soul
Remember me, head on your chest
Begin the night, no ill has come, again we are safe
Remember me, unconscious tugs
Tonight sweet dreams begin to play, pulling us apart
Remember me, you dream away
Dark skies splattered in streaks of early light, stars wink off
Remember me, your eyes open
Fingers of light lifting veils of darkness, inch by inch
Remember me, a new day dawns
Soft, tingling caresses, unspoken words of love
Remember me

Well I for one shall not forget your words that pull me in like clean fresh laundry through my window with the smell of fresh Spring air. Wonderful stuff here. I long to hold your hand like that now and feel you flow through my aged hand. "Fingers of light lifting darkness..." wonderful. And I love that stone at the bottom.
Ralwus -- Why, thank you for your generous comments! My hand is always here -- just reach out! I love that stone too!

Beautiful.
I think your sentiments express what we all want - to be remembered. And the best way to be remembered is to remember - in all the little things and little ways and surely we will be remembered.
