Oh no you have just spilt red wine on your carpet. Shock horror what to do. Well it’s not that difficult to remove a red wine stain if you do it properly. Yes it can be removed. This hub has some simple tips for removing a red wine stain from carpet.

1. Saturate the spot with water to fade an old red wine stain in your carpet.

2. Prepare a mixture of 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide and 1 tbs. dish soap. Using a cloth, liberally blot this mixture onto the spot. Be sure there's enough applied to saturate the entire area. Allow it to set for up to 2 hours.

3. Blot the area with a wet cloth after the hydrogen peroxide mixture has set in the carpet. Follow it up with a dry cloth.

4. Allow the spot to dry. If the red wine stain is still there, repeat Steps 1 through 3.
