Remove Nasty Carpet Stains. HOT TIP

I went and got Pizza Hut Hot Chicken Wings last night. I came home and felt something dipping on my sandal. I looked down and red, hot wing sauce was leaking from the plastic bag. YUK The trail of sauce looked like thick blood drops about 15 feet long, from the bedroom to the kitchen.

I freaked out. I was screaming,'you piece of -----" ( fill in the blank ) My husband ran from the bedroom he thought I hurt myself and bad. The trail and scream startled him to say the least. He was thinking ER. I hope I never alarm anyone like this again. It could have been detrimental to his health. I could have been a bit more self contained. OK I am human., I am a work in progress. Anyone that would have heard my scream and seen the trail would most likely phone 911. After my husband recovered he said, 'this will not be to hard to clean don't sweat it'. I could have given him an Indian twist so hard it hurt. I( lost my appetite. My hubby being supportive said he was sorry, it would work out. He had to get to bed. (that's my man)

I chilled out. I was so tired. I could not deal with this mess, so I did not. I went to bed and slept like a baby. Upon waking there it was,the trail. No cleaning fairy surprised me. The trail looked bad but it was not the end of the world. It is amazing how when one is tired a certain event can seem very overwhelming. It is not near the big deal it seemed to be when one is rested and refreshed. It is like a small baby that is tired, fussy, grumpy and resistant. They are like a new baby refreshed and ready to go.

I pulled my file box of remedies out that once belonged to my mom. I recall her cleaning blood on the carpet from a skinned knee. I found something. Clean up red wine, red sauces, Kool-aid, lipstick, blood, grease, make-up, marker, tomato soup. Tomato Soup? I laughed so hard. I felt my mom laughing with me. I knew God was smiling down on me. I call then "God Winks" We had more tomato soup then Carter has pills. I love grilled cheese and tomato soup to this day.

Try this remedy on a bit of hidden carpet. I did not which was probably not to smart, but my lovely tan carpets did not fade. If and when I get another home I will not have tan carpets if I can possibly help it. Tan shows every minuscule of dirt and grime. Moving on. Open a window.

I put 1 cup of Vinegar into a pail of 2 cups HOT water. I added 1 heaping Tablespoon of salt and stirred. I sat on my 'bum' and moved down the trail of stain and scrubbed lightly. The stain seemed to disappear into the air. I let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes. I then sprinkled baking soda on the trail. I let it sit until dry around 30 minutes. I vacuumed. Wow the stain was 95% gone. I knew when I repeated this hot tip on another day It would grab the remainder.Moms are so cool.If your mom still lives tell her you love and appreciate her. We never know when the tide may turn.

"God Winks" at me much of the time. I think he must get a 'laugh' at how serous his children can be over the small stuff. I speak for myself.
