Rescue 1705
66Rescue 1705
This week we Coastguard families had a hard reality surface, the lose of the comrades, friends and even family of the Coastguard crew that was on the plane of Rescue 1705. I feel somber knowing that my husband risks his life at times to make the United States citizens safe. I feel for the families who have been torn apart by this shattering loss. I feel that every United States citizen should realize the sacrifice the military make and continue making so we can have our blessed freedom. The Coastguard is often overlooked and under appreciated when compared to other services. They are even forgotten a lot, but they are Homeland Security and they fight to keep our borders safe everyday. They sacrifice like any soldier; families being apart and never making what they should get paid. People tend to dismiss the importance of their job. Before 9/11 they were doing alot of search and rescue but since then have turned into something so much more. Their MSST team deals with terrorist activity and threats at all times and they all secure our borders. We as citizens need to focus on thanks and realize that freedom comes with a prize. The prize was paid by the members of that plane. The price is paid every single day . So fair weather and following seas our angels I did not know you but you will be missed and may you serve us from the clouds and sit upon the shoulder of the lord.
