Researching a Product | Finding the Demand
50Doing research using traffic to a site is one of the more advanced ways to monetize your website, and it is usually used only by the most experienced of internet marketers.
What happens in this process is that the marketer will find out exactly what the people in his target market wants - either via surveying them or by tracking their behaviour on the website - and once the ideal product has been determined, the marketer then goes on to create and sell it.
This is potentially one of the most profitable methods since you would already have found that a hungry market exists to sell the particular product to. Furthermore, you get to reap all the profits from each sale of the product since you completely own it.
The method discussed here also opens you up to a wide range of monetization streams such as up-sells, affiliate marketing on the backend, further market research for creating a funnel and more.
All these only exist because you have complete control over all the aspects of the business, which few of the other monetization streams allow.
A full-fledged business can eventually develop from this and continue to fill your bank account with money for months or even years to come.
