It's a shame that they don't teach this type of stuff in school. We are mostly taught to get a degree, get really good at a particular skill, and use that skill to work for a company that will pay us for the knowledge of that skill.

So that's what most people go out and do. Sadly, many people don't realize until they get older that this is not the way to go if you really want to live life on your terms. People tend to live in places where there are jobs. If you wanted to just pick up your stuff and just go to another city to live, you would first need to see if you can find a job in that city first, otherwise, you can go there and end up having to move back.

In order for you to get out of this trap, you need to learn how to build residual income. There are many ways to generate residual income, you could pick and choose whichever one works best for you. The point in having it is so you don't have to be stuck with any company.

How great would it be to be able to live anywhere you want because you have a residual income stream that covers you living expenses? You could go live on some island if you wanted to. You could do this all without having to retire wealthy.

The more money you have right now, the more residual income opportunities you have. Now, even if you don't have a lot of money, you can still build residual income through various methods that don't require much money at all. Of course, you will need to put a lot of time in it.

Some methods will take you years to get to the point where you'll make enough to not have to work anymore, but it's all worth it.
