Have you ever found yourself eating a whole breakfast platter and thought, " I wish I could get rid of this plate and just stack everything into something I could hold in my hands"?

The Grand Slamwich takes the ingredients of a Grand Slam meal and shoves it into a sandwich. It contains one scrambled egg, sausage, crispy bacon, shaved ham, mayonnaise and American cheese on potato bread grilled with a maple spice spread. Served with crispy hash browns.

The Grand Slam Breakfast is one of Denny’s best-known and best-selling entrees. The Grand Slam was introduced 30 years ago, setting a new standard in breakfast dining by offering a complete meal. Inspired by one of America’s favorite pastimes and named for the baseball play, the breakfast features pancakes, eggs, bacon strips and sausage links – two of each.

Denny’s flagship and adored Grand Slam is now portable.

This new breakfast sandwich finally provides breakfast lovers with a portable and affordable “real breakfast” solution to the processed manufactured breakfasts of its competitors.

There has never been a meal that doesn't taste better as a sandwich.

Lets see if we can create this sensation at home without much effort.

I make breakfast similiar to Dennys Grand Slams all the time using the griddle pictured to the right which I bought at Walmart for around $10. The griddle is great because you can cook everything all at once just like they do in restaurants.

The ingredients you will need for the slamwich are:

  • 2 slices of deli ham
  • 2 slices of bacon
  • 1 sausage patty
  • 1 slice of American Cheese
  • 2 thick slices of French or Italian Bread
  • butter
  • cinnamon
  • maple syrup

Everything goes on the griddle.

What I do is cook the bacon and sausage.
Dip the sliced bread into the egg and sprinkle on cinnamon.
Fry the bread to make french toast.
Cook the rest of the egg into an omelet.
Heat the deli meat and top with cheese to melt.

To make the sandwich put butter and
syrup on each slice of French toast
and layer on all the other ingredients.

If you want hash browns to go with it

just throw some fresh or frozen shredded

potatoes on the griddle, too!

You can use fresh or frozen ingredients

it doesn't really matter in the end it all

tastes great.

So EASY and So Good!!
