Researchers writing in the Archives of Internal Medicine say older people who are physically active during their leisure time appear to be biologically younger than those with sedentary lifestyles. They found on average that people who are physically active their biological aging markers were 10 years younger.
It's Never Too Late
It's never too late to start an exercise program. People who start training in later life can improve their physical condition.
Your body is very adaptable. And even if you don't begin working out until well into old age, it is possible to slow down or even stop the aging process.
Regular exercise can help slow the effects of aging by up to 12 years, as reported by The Daily Telegraph. This article continued to report that the study has found aerobic exercise such as jogging can slow and even reverse the decline in muscle power, balance and coordination from middle age onwards and well into later life.
Exercise will not only prolong your life and help prevent disease, but also greatly improve the quality of your life.
Stop growing older and increase your exercise, of course slowly, because lack of phsycial exercise is responsible for about half of the physical decline associated with aging.
