How to select a 'catchy' name AS WELL AS one that people are searching for online. I thought the main thing to do was select a memorable name but there is a LOT MORE to name selection for your website.

You want to select names that people are searching for, so you have to try to put yourself, first, in the position of someone who might need your products. Try to think about what these people will search for.

For instance - if you're planning on selling 'website building software' affiliate programs or reseller items, you want to think about keywords and place THOSE into your website name and domain name.

If people are searching for "how to build a website" you will want to put at least 2 of those keywords into your site name: "Website How To" (dot com), or "Build Websites with Teeray" (dot com), or "BuildSiteSoftware" (dotcom). Something like that.

Another tip: "BRAND" Yourself - your name! (above, Build Websites with Teeray - uses the name I usually use online for contacts). Get your name out there so that people start to associate YOU with the business, hobby, products or services that you're promoting online.
