New Digital SLR Cameras

The review linked below from today's NYT covers new digital SLR cameras from Canon, Nikon and Panasonic.

I have been using a Canon EOS Rebel 8 SLR for two years and am very happy with it. I used it to take the pictures below in August at the Michigan State Fair.

They wouldn't let me take a picture of the World's Smallest Woman!

Pig racing was one of the most popular events at the fair.

I bought a Canon 40D recently. It's a very nice camera. Similar to the Digital Rebel but it boots up much faster. Mail order price for body only with 3-hour battery and charger around $1,200. I broke the receptacle in the camera for the computer hookup cord on my Digital Rebel and I had to send it back to Canon for repairs. It will become my backup camera. I can't say enough nice things about Canon digital cameras.

Great content. I am a photo geek myself and I liked the information you had to offer. If you are a digital camera person check out my blog @ http://www.digitalcameraratingreviews.com/

Nice pics using your Canon EOS Rebel 8 SLR. By the way I have a Canon EOS 40D. Best DSLR indeed.

I now have a Canon 40D which is an improvment over the Rebel. Now there is a 50D which I suppose is even better. Tnx for the comment.
