California Baby Natural & Organic Sunscreen

My son has food and environmental allergies. These allergies have left him with very sensitive skin, and very prone to eczema. I have found that California Baby products are really gentle and do not cause any skin aggrevations.

California Baby Everyday/Year-round sunscreen products are non-chemical sunscreens- the only kind of sunscreen recommended for children under 6 months by the American Pediatric Association (though consult with your physician as sunscreen use and sun exposure for babies under 6 months is not recommended at all). The California Baby products provide up to 80 minutes of water-resistance, making them perfect for swimming too!

Benefits & features from the California Baby website:

  • Contains organic and sustainably grown ingredients
  • UVA/UVB broad-spectrum protection
  • Water Resistant
  • Non-whitening micro-titanium dioxide
  • No Octyl Methoxycinnamate
  • PABA free
  • Scatters & reflects UV rays
  • Japanese Green Tea (anti-oxidant)
  • Non-chemical sunscreens
  • Non-invasive formula, hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic
  • Non-staining

California Baby is a member of the Organic Trade Association and has signed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics.

I will keep this in mind, good to know it protects children with allergies.

This is good to know as I saw a news story a while back saying that certain sunblocks are carcinogenic, which sort of defeats the purpose.

Giving yourself cancer by trying to protect yourself from skin cancer definately defeats the purpose! I love all the California Baby products....and most Target stores carry them, so you don't have to drive all over looking for natural food stores!
