Rick Stein Cooking Program

Watching Rick Stein program encourage me to cook more often at home. Love they way he did on his cooking program on BBC 2 which is so simple.

I love his food recipe and i learn a lot not only from him and learn from others too. I m a big fans of ‘Rick Stein ‘ and never missed his TV cooking program in the past.

This month his cooking program on BBC challenge is in Far Eastern Odyysey– honestly i don’t know when he made this TV program but being shown now in BBC from 8 to 9 pm every Thursday – don’t miss it guys.

He start his cooking Far Eastern style from Cambodia Vietnam which he learned and i learned from him how to cook fish. I never been to Vietnam but love the scenery and the way local people cook their food. I had a big laugh when saw his cook dip fried fresh fish with lemongrass, palm sugar ,tomatoes, and of course never miss out the chilli. I was thinking this quiet similar the way my mother cook her fish back home.

After Cambodia Vietnam he continue his journey to Thailand – wow he was in Thailand and tried street food in Thailand . He mentioned street food is the best – you get to see the real local people cook their food daily. I like go to street food myself - much more fun and of course i like to go fancy restaurant too -it just difference experience of eating .

Funny – while i was watching his cooking and he was making Thai soup – i can not wait to see the program is over – because i want to try to make the soup- which i did. Great soup – and alot of chilli. I don’t know the name of the soup but going to get his book at asap.

I am hoping www.eason.ie have those book already in Dublin Ireland.

I can not remember 100 % ingredients of the soup – till Rick Stein’s Far Eastern Odyssey Book in my hand.

I have one Thai dished that i really like and become of my favourite dished now.

I copy dished recipe from one of my Thai friend who live closely with me in Ireland.

Check it out Rick Stein TV Program and his journey to Far eastern schedule program on www.rickstein.com and www.bbc.com .

Also other great cook for Thai food is David Thompson – i met him 2 years a ago and got his signature for his Thai Food book. His Namh Restaurant have been award for Michelin Star for best Thai food for the first time in Europe . What a great combination last week program on the BBC Rick Stein and David Thompson which David is master in Thai Food.

After he tried all spicy food in Thailand he continue his journey to Malaysia and visit Melaka and tried Nyonya cuisine .im not big fans of Malaysian food but like to taste - so not too eager to tried – but still enjoy watching the cooking program.

After Malaysia Rick will head off to Bali – just wondering which area in Bali he going to go . Im going to miss his cooking Program next week as im head off to Bali Paradise of island too. Don’t worry im going to make report directly from Paradise of Island the way Balinese people cook their food.
