Deciding to work from home really comes down to a personal decision you make to yourself one day. And your success will depend on weather you treat your new home business like a business or hobby. If you really have sat down and made the decision make money from your home based business no matter what then congratulations because you are half way there.

That is one problem millions of home business owners have. They are still in decision mode on weather or not they really want to work from home and as a result they end up working their business half heartily whilst still carrying a job. Remember whatever thoughts are running through you brain will directly manifest into your reality.

Which leads us to our first question.

• 1. Do you totally believe in yourself to make money from this Home Business Opportunity?

You have to totally believe in yourself that you are going to make money from your home based business. If you don't believe then you will never do it.

You have to make the careful decision to choose the right business opportunity. You have to choose and opportunity that is right for you. Now there a number of criteria to do this that I talk about in my blog. However, here are some questions you should be asking yourself:

• 2. Can you see yourself as a success in this opportunity in the next 6 months?

If you can picture yourself slowly climbing the success ladder over the next 6 months then you may have found something you can work with. One of the hardest things to do is to work against what you can envision. It will be detrimental to you business plan. I like to think of it as snakes and ladders. One day you will climb a ladder because you sold your first lot of product to your extended family and then the next day because you never could see yourself at the top you will fall down a snake.

• 3. Does the business opportunity have a workable daily action plan written out that you can see yourself waking up from your slumber, each morning and working from start to finish?

This is a must have if you want to succeed. Actions are what take you to success. So make sure you view the action plan before hand and see if it will work for you....

And be honest with yourself...

• 4. Does the compensation plan offer a way for you to make money relatively straight away?

You need to make sure your compensation plan can cater to this requirement in some way because then you can cut down on your day job which then frees up your time to spend working on your home based business opportunity.

Too often I see people go into opportunities that have a compensation plan that doesn't pay up until you have X amount of product sold or X amount of people trained and for the everyday person who has never gone into a home business opportunity before this is really hard to do and as a result they never ever end up getting into positive cash flow.

Last Question is:

• 5. Do I have a successful mentor who can guide you and lead you in the right direction?

You must choose someone successful who has been there before and has done his/her fair share of struggling. Then you can ask him questions on things that are on your mind. It's best if this is someone outside your opportunity because they will give you unbiased information.
