Rihanna is a Barbadian singer and model. Born in Saint Michael, Barbados, Rihanna moved to America at age 16 to pursue a music career under the direction of music producer Evan Rogers. He signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning for the label boss Jay-time Z.
In 2005, Rihanna released her debut album, Music of the Sun which peaked within the top ten of the Billboard 200 and features on the Billboard Hot 100 hit "Pon de Replay". Less than a year later released their second album, A Girl Like Me (2006), which peaked in the top five of Billboard's album, and produced his first number one U.S. hit single, "SOS" and Billboard Hot 100 ten entries "Unfaithful" and "Break It Off".
Rihanna's third album, Good Girl Gone Bad (2007), reaching number two on the Billboard 200, the five top ten hits including three U.S. numberas a hit-singles "Umbrella," "Take a Bow" and "Disturbia," and the collaboration of the song, "Live Your Life". The album was nominated for nine Grammy Awards, winning Best Rap / Sung Collaboration for "Umbrella" featuring Jay-Z.Rihanna has sold over 12 million albums worldwide in his four year career and has received several accolades, including the 2007 World Music Awards World's Best-Selling Pop Female Artist and Female Artist of the Year and the 2008 American Music Awards for Favorite Soul / R & B Female Artist Favorite Pop / Rock Female Artist. Rihanna has scored five number one Hot 100 single.
She also serves as one of Barbados' honorary cultural ambassadors.
In August 2009, Rihanna worked with Jay-Z and Kanye West for "Run this
town." The song has so far peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot
100 and also reached the top ten in five other countries. She appeared
on the cover of Vogue Italy for the September 2009 edition. The
shooting was influenced by Rihanna's hair, which had been cut for
shooting in a mohawk-like style. The style of filming was Extreme
Couture and very dark, and appeared in a semi-nude shot. Rihanna
performed "Run This Town", along with Jay-Z and West for the "answer
the call" concert at Madison Square Garden in September 2009, so his
musical performance for the first time since the altercation with
Brown. The trio also performed "Run This Town" at the premiere of The
Show with Jay Leno on 14 September 2009.
Rihanna is currently
working with Justin Timberlake, Tyson Ritter of the All-American
Rejects, Drake, Ne-Yo, Akon, and others, on their fourth studio album
Rated R. On 8 October 2009, Rihanna shot the cover of their fourth
album with Ellen von Unwerth in Berlin. The new album will be released
23 of November 2009. Album's lead single, "Russian Roulette" was
launched on 21 October 2009.

'Russian Roulette' is the first single from her new
album, entitled next, "Rated R", which will be released Nov. 23.
'Russian Roulette' was written and produced by R & B artist Ne-Yo.
The 'Russian Roulette' music video was shot this past weekend. It is
reported that he wore a short gray jacket, tall black boots,
slicked-back hair and an eye patch, she whore in the "Run this video"
Music City Jay-Z. The "Russian Roulette" music video is set to premiere
in primetime on ABC.
