Ok this really happened to my friend Amy's friend of a friend and I wish I had her name to credit this story. It did not happen to me but was so crazy I had to post it.

So this girl was in New York City and pet sitting a dog while a couple was out of town on vacation. Unfortunately, the dog passed away from natural causes during the trip. This girl called the pet's owners and they asked her to take the dog to the vet to have it cremated since they were going to be out of town a while.

This dog was large and she was not able to carry it. Being in the city with no car, she had to find a way to get the dog to the vet. She was able to use a suitcase (or some sort of bag with wheels) to put the dog in. She took to dog in the bag down the street and on the subway. Some place between the vet and the subway there were stairs and she struggled getting the bag up the stairs.

A man came along and offered the help her with her bag. Because it was heavy, he made a comment along the lines of "wow what do you have in this thing?". She did not want to tell him there was a deceased dog in the bag so she said something like 'computers' because it was a heavy item that could be believable.

After hearing there were computers in the bag, he then ran off with it.

This girl was left having to explain to the pet's owners what happened and no one heard anything about where the poor deceased pet ended up.

As for the robber, I can't imagine what he did after opening the bag. Serves him right for stealing.
