Traditional Business to MLM

Robert Kiyosaki, best selling author of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad series, started out against network marketing or MLM. But, after 15 years he made a complete turn around. He now favors direct selling with a network marketing company as the best way for the average person to move from being poor to rich.

Direct selling with a network marketing or MLM company focuses on helping people and is the most fair system for financial freedom available.

Robert Kiyosaki and Network Marketing

Robert Kiyosaki and direct selling, MLM or network marketing didn't always go together. In his book, the Business School (for People Who Like Helping People), Robert Kiyosaki states that when he was first introduced to network marketing he didn't take it seriously. He didn't understand network marketing. He just assumed all the things he had heard about direct selling with a network marketing or MLM company being illegal, a pyramid scheme, were true. He was too busy building his first "real business', to even explore MLM

Robert Kiyosaki dismissed network marketing completely for about 15 years.

Passion to Help People

What does that have to do with business? Well, after Robert Kiyosaki gained financial freedom, he moved to his true passion: helping people who didn't have the advantage of a "Rich Dad" mentor.

He wanted to help others achieve the kind of wealth and freedom that he lived. Robert Kiyosaki began teaching  how to get out of the poverty mentality and into the freedom area of the rich through his cash flow quadrant education.

Cash Flow Quadrant

The cash flow quadrant explains the mechanics of money flow; what creates wealth and what whittles it away.

Very simply, he explains that the E and S quadrants, being employed and even self-employed, trades time for money. The only way to conquer financial freedom is to become a business owner and investor.

Robert Kiyosaki explains how owning a business and entering the Cash Flow ‘B' Quadrant  is the best way to get ahead financially.

But it requires new thinking and new business skills. How can the average person make the leap?

Network Marketing:Best Entry to B Quadrant

Robert Kiyosaki taught people how he built his own business. It was a rough road with lots of risk and failures. Not many people succeeded. Most lacked the stamina and skills.

Then Robert Kiyosaki talked to a friend who was gathering great wealth in direct selling, or MLM/network marketing. This friend, Bill, didn't' need any more money. He had achieved wealth in real estate the same way Robert Kiyosaki had. But Bill had too many normal, everyday people come to him for help and he couldn't help them. They understood the concept of creating wealth but without the money to invest (and risk) in conventional business pursuits they were stuck where they were.

Robert Kiyosaki saw that in his network marketing business Bill was helping people as well as himself and loving the role of teacher, mentor, helping people is a way he couldn't with his real-estate investing.

Robert Kiyosaki changed HIS thinking.

Robert Kiyosaki was intrigued and opened his mind. He researched the network marketing, MLM and direct selling industry and determined that it is a legitimate, low investment way to enter into the buisiness arena.

In addition to that, it is a very compassionate business and supports people in the learning stages. He found that network marketing is truly an equal opportunity business and the most fair method of distribution.

The Business School for People Who Like Helping People

In his book, Business School (for People Who Like Helping People, Robert Kiyosaki answers the question: "Since you did not become rich from building a network marketing business, why do you recommend that others get into the (direct selling/network marketing) business?"

Robert Kiyosaki gives his objective opinion from outside of the network marketing industry and recommends network marketing as the best way to move into the B quadrant and become wealthy for the average person.

After educating millions of people on financial strategies, he asserts that one of the greatest values in Network marketing or MLM is that it is a business with a heart and a deep caring for people.

MLM provides an equal opportunity for everyone. You help yourself by helping others. You build a team directing business to you. As you shift into the B quadrant you help others to shift their position in the cash flow quadrant too. This structure supports Robert Kiyosaki's mission to educate people and bring financial wealth everywhere.

Robert Kiyosaki Endorses Network Marketing

When Robert Kiyosaki actually studied network marketing or MLM, the financial guru completely changed his views. He now endorses direct selling/network marketing as the best way to financial freedom.

So if you are looking for a way to add to your monthly income in our tough economy and change your financial picture, direct selling or network marketing could be the best business for you. Not only is it the easiest way to move into the big business of the B quadrant because of the support and training. Also, because of the low overhead and minimal investment required in most MLM companies, network marketing is also the most equal opportunity way for the average person to become financially free.

Well said Claire. My lightbulb moment was in Kiyosaki asked the question: If you went away for a year what would your business look like? It dawned on me that I was my business!

I have many of Robert Kiyosaki's books, videos, game, and other stuff. I actually got it all for free.

The game is so much fun and I have learned so much from his teaching.

I was thinking about getting involved in real estate because of him but I decided not to.

One note I would like to add. Someone that joins network marketing doesn't put them in the B quadrant. It just moves them to the S quadrant.

Claire, the things you are teaching about attraction marketing and building an online presence and having customers and leads come to you, that moves you to the B quadrant.

I agree, it doesn't put them in the B quadrant--but it gives them possibilities. they have a vehicle for it if they learn the mindset and skills which can move them there.

I agree with Robert. We all need to pick a home based business especially in today's situation. I do not feel I can depend on the corporate world now.

Thanks for you comment. I definitely agree with you. It is even more important in today's economy to build your own assets.
