Rock Hard Abs
69Rock Hard Abs Don't Mess Around
We all want 'rock-hard-abs'. Looking at the sports' magazine covers as we stand in the grocery checkout lanes, just reminds of how far from those desired abs we want really are. But wait, hope is on the way! It may seem like those abs are light years away from where we are now, but in all reality, they can be just around the corner.
The first thing to do is to not compare ourselves with the models or actors on the covers of a magazines. Ever heard of digital editing? Yep! That's right. They do it all day long until the picture looks 'perfect' to some Hollywood standard. So, once we have taken care of ridding our minds of some non-existant ideal, we can get down to business.
The key to getting deep within the abdominal muscles, to gain those coveted hard-abs, is really connected to the brain. Mind over matter, people. When we are working on a sit-up, or the preferred way to work the abs - crunches, think about what we are doing. Don't just go through the motions. When our minds our physically engaged with the activity, our bodies will process the movement much more effectively and remember it for next time.
You may now be thinking - What! You are telling me all I have to do is think about my stomach while I am doing my stomach muscle activity and I will have rock-hard abs. Not exactly. Although working your abs is not as hard as it may seem, that is just the first step.
Next, our bodies must physically engage by pulling our belly buttons towards our spines. This image in our minds, along with the physical activity of doing it, is the key to those rock-hard abs.
From here, we simply choose our preference of crunches or sit-ups. Keeping our minds and bodies engaged, we roll up, vertebrae by vertebrae, exhaling. Inhaling our way back down, and repeat.
That's it! Try that for 5mn. a day or for 4 sets of 12 - to the center, left and right, and we will be on your way to victory. Watch out cover models - the real deal is here!
After having a baby - look at my abs now!
