I remember as a teenager I had rock posters all over my room. I had posters of David Cassidy, Barry Gibb, Andy Gibb and lots of others. My sister and I shared a room and we used to buy teen magazines. The teen magazines came with posters of different rock stars or television stars of those days. it would have been around 1974 to 1978.

The one poster I remember the most is a poster of Peter Frampton. I'll never forget that poster. I can still see it in my mind. He was standing playing his guitar and he had his long curly hair hanging down. The buttons were open on his shirt. I really liked Peter Frampton when I was a teen. His music was awesome. I actually seen him in concert on television a few months ago. He doesn't have his long hair anymore and is getting old, but he still sounded awesome.

I remember that when I was growing up, we never had music videos to watch so for most of us teens we never actually got to see the faces behind our music. We might have seen them on the album covers and if you happened to catch your favourite band on television every once in a while you were in luck but there were a lot of bands that I never knew what they looked like until years later.

Music videos have sure changed the way we view music these days but I like being able to see the faces of the bands that I like to listen to.

I went through a time with liking country music. However, that phase did not last long. I am a diehard rock and roll fan. I love rock and roll. The bands I listen to now are 54-40, Neil Young, Tragically Hip, Oasis and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to name just a few.

We are definitely of the same era. Frampton Comes Alive was one of the seminal albums -- he had those blonde curls (I didn't find him attractive, tho, did you?). I miss those days before MTV and music videos. Back when album covers and album liners included pictures of the bands. Maybe I'm just nostalgic.

Thanks for the memories. I liked your hub! MM

Thank you very much for your comment, Mighty Mom. Yes, I did find Peter Frampton attractive but only because of his long curly hair. I love guys with long hair.

hee hee gusripper, thank you for your comment. I love men with long hair and I guess I do like men with their shirts open too from the looks of those two posters I picked out.
