How To Learn German Fast
German is not an easy to learn language. My name is Franz and I'm a native german speaker from Germany. My good friend Mike from New York has been assigned to take over a management job in Frankfurt/Germany for his US IT company. Mike asked me to help him to find the easiest and quickest way to learn German.
Now Mike works around 50-60 hours a week. He can't spend a lof of time and taking German classes. Learning German should be fun, interactive and highly effective. The first priority should be in learning to speak German.
I tested popular self-study German courses on- and offline. The following criteria should be met:
- the course should be highly interactive that makes you want to study
- It needs to be practical
- It should cover most of the daily situations
- The course should contain audios, videos, software and a guide
- German course should aim for intermediate to advanced level of German Speaking
- logical structure and step-by-step instructions
It took me over 2 month to review 23 different online and offline courses.
And which course is the winner? It was not that easy. But considering that Mike is lacking of time and wants to achieve quick results in speaking German I recommended http://www.reviews-about.com/rocketgerman
Mike downloaded the rocket german course 3 weeks ago. Today we had our first conversation in German and I was impressed about his progress.

Yeah, I like the Rocket languages team. They seem to constantly try to improve the course and listen to users experiences as a guidance for the changes. I guess most companies do this but Rocket is more responsive because they make a big deal out on their online presence thus are obliged to react.

Have to agree with Franz's review. I had to learn German for a three-month business trip to Frankfurt. Although my written grammar is probably not the best, I had no problems to have simple converions with my German colleagus. After only using Rocker German for a few weeks...
