Theme is a proposition set down, a connecting or dominant idea to be explored, the message you want to convey so that when you stand back, you see it writ large on your story or game.

Gaming, My Hobby, My Tribe
Introduction:
Role Playing Games, or RPGs, have been in existence ever since one friend or sibling said to another, Lets Play Pretend or perhaps Make Believe. At the basis is telling a story together, to entertain. It is a distant relative to Interactive Theatre, it is a form of Improvisational Storytelling, it is a way to flex the mental and creative muscles to tell a story, create a tale, recreate a myth in a person's own way. It is a form of Entertainment.
Why This Hub is Here:
This is my hobby. Role Playing Games, it has been since about Christmas of 1977. For me this has been a source of entertainment, enjoyment, and creative inspiration during this time.
It is a hobby, a way to flex my writing and storytelling abilities and skills.
In High School it was one of my primary social outlets. Now I use it to create newsletters, work and help out on gaming things for other companies, and someday I will publich my own works as well. I have several potential items in various stages of completion. One that could be done in a few days or weeks, sans decent editorial assistance that is. It all ties into my love of writing as well.
My Gaming Focus:
Mostly a mix up of more than one genre which is what I love the most about gaming. Much like my taste in fiction as well. My favorite gaming genres includes the following:
- Cyberpunk
- Steampunk
- Victoriana
- Superheroes
- Horror
- Stuff that mixes it all up
- Speculative Fiction
- Singularity Style Gaming
There are way too many systems to mention that I have the books for. Instead I am just going to mention the ones I care about any more.
- d20 OGL (MSRD and SRD)
- FUZION / Interlock
- HERO System / Champions
- Dark Conspiracy
- Call of Cthulhu
- JAGS (Just Another Game System)
My own webpage , titled TKIM Gaming Productions, which deals with Role Playing Games.
Second one, where I am starting my own company at is here at 500 Penny Design. There is a multitude of free products from a Collection of NPC Characters too new creatures, magic items, and other play aid support material. The page layout has been recently redesigned as well.
One of the best sources of RPG goodness is Michael Tresca's RPG Examiner page. Go check it out.

Whoa, "since 1977", I wonder what's your age now...RPGs eh? The 1st RPG game that I played was "Dragon Warrior" & "Breath of Fire" series on the Nintendo GameBoy Color & GameBoy Advance. I have to agree that the greatness of the RPG did depends on most importantly:
1. Storyline
2. Gameplay
3. Graphics
So, the RPGs games that I've played on random game consoles till now are:
The Legend of Zelda, PokeMon, Super Mario RPG, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 2 & 8 [The only ones that I managed to complete], Jade Cocoon, The Legend of Dragoon, Brave Story New Traveler,Dragoneers Aria, and not forgetting my favourite: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.
