Roller setting natural Black hairstyles can help create an absolutely amazing look. Your hair will look bouncy and stylish without having to use a hair iron or a blow dryer. Also, it will help maintain the length of your hair. Here are some tips to help you with roller setting your hair:

  • Clean your hair well with shampoo and conditioner. However, do not blow dry or even towel dry it. Just pat it down with a towel to absorb all the dripping water, but leave the hair wet.
  • It is highly recommended that you use serum at this point. Take enough serum, depending on the thickness of your hair and apply it carefully, ensuring that the tips are covered.
  • After applying serum, use a wide tooth comb to comb your hair.
  • If your hair dries too quickly, you may have to keep wetting it. Keep a bottle of water handy for this purpose. Also, you may need to wet your hair as you go from one section to another.
  • Use a fine comb to part your hair down the middle so that you have three sections in all- right, left and center. Clip down the two side sections and concentrate on the middle section first.
  • Part one inch of the middle section from the front and hold it between your fingers. You may now want to spray it with water and then apply a setting gel or lotion.
  • Comb this section with a fine comb and hold it so that it is falling in front of your eyes.
  • Take a roller and place it at the end of the hair, at the tips. The roller should be placed on top of the hair.
  • Roll the roller towards your scalp and then when it reaches your head, secure it with duckbill clips.
  • You will need to repeat the exact same procedure for every inch of your hair along the middle section. Remember to spray the hair as well as to apply the setting gel.
  • Now, go to either the left or the right section of your hair. You will need to part this section into three more sections. Use clips to make your hair stay in place.
  • Now, you can start on the section that is closest to the middle section that is already rolled. Start with the first inch from the front. Hold in in your fingers, wet it, apply setting gel and comb it with your fine comb.
  • In this case, you will need to place the roller on the underside of the hair. This means that the roller will be close to your face and not the sky. Roll towards the scalp and then secure it with a duckbill clip.
  • Repeat these steps for all the other sections of your hair.
  •  After all the sections are done, it I highly recommended that you sit under a large hooded dryer for at least an hour or an hour and a half.
  • Remove rollers one by one after you are sure that the hair is completely dry.
  • Finger brush your hair and enjoy bouncing hair!
