Rolling Stone's The 500 Greatest Albums of All-Time
89Welcome music fans of all ages to the list that I DID NOT COME UP WITH. I don't copy anyone else's stuff unless I plan to make a point about their work. This list is followed up by a list of albums that I feel were obvious omissions.
I'm also offering a challenging opinion of my own for which I have supplied links. The book that this list comes from is far more than a list however. If you do decide pick it up, you will find great photos and stories about each album on the list.

Rolling Stone Magazine has recently released their rankings for the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and I have displayed them here for you. You can buy this list as a great Hard Cover Book which is gives you so much more than the title and artists. I do not agree with this list AT ALL, except #1 which is almost untouchable.

The only song I kinda liked from rolling stones was "paint it black" not really anything else though.
Rolling Stone is one of the most tedious and dull publications there is. When I see a list like this I just want to throw out any album of mine that appears on it. There are too many music lists compilled by middle class, 50+ white music bores. All the same, totally predictable. At least Mr Funktual has passion.
im sorry but the beatles aint that good til the late 60s people try to make them out to be the best n music no true there r stronger n better albums from others then them i see there whole antology on here wtf be serious mary j blige my life why only that one and why so low that defind another genre of music whats the 411 shoulda charted to some of these albums i have n dont think there all that special this list is dum n not good to see i agree that the greatest singer list 20 percent that is
Great list of albums. My late brother played on No. 242 - Bryter Later by Nick Drake. My brother played piano on Poor Boy!
Love and peace
Tony
INXS is not in the list!!! WTF
I agree with SweetiePie, Rolling Stone's snub of the Moody Blues is ridiculous. Days of Future Passed, like it or not, was in everyone's album collection when most of the top albums on this list came out. They should be in the mix.

You know why I do not like Rolling Stone magazine? They have never had anything good to say about the Moody Blues, one of the best bands of all time! However, that is their loss :).
