My point here is that I'm answering a hub request for 'Romantic Valentine's Day Travels'. Could be you're looking for an urban getaway with wining and dining, shows and shopping, spas and cruises, and so on.

Or maybe you're looking at a treetop penthouse in an isolated Bed and Breakfast in the middle of a tall jungle of Redwoods, or maybe a luxury resort inside a National Park with sweeping views?

I could give you a fine list of romantic places you could travel to in Maine or Massachusetts, or North Carolina's Outer Banks, or romantic weekend trips out of New York and Florida. But if you were in California, would you really want to travel all the way to the East Coast just so you can spend Valentine's Day in a romantic spot?

But not to worry, because whatever your definition of beauty, and whereever your residence, I still can point you to some perfectly legit romantic getaways in your own neighbourhood.

And if you're the kind who wants nothing but the best for the apple of your eye, and you're willing to go to any length (or destination) to prove that, well, then, here's the top 10 most romantic hotels for couples, prepared by globorati.com.

1. Las Ventanas al Paraiso: Los Cabos, Mexico 2. L'Hotel: Paris, France 3. Nam Hai: Hoi An, Vietnam 4. Maxim Bungalows: Cofresi, Dominican Republic 5. Tides Zihuatanejo: Zihuatanejo, Mexico 6. Mykonos Grand: Mykonos, Greece 7. The Fairmont Orchid: Big Island, Hawaii 8. Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire: Hampshire, England 9. The Rania Experience: Maldives 10. Jade Mountain: St. Lucia

Can't say much about the other 9 destinations, but Hawaii vacations are darn cheap right now, what with the recession and all. The weather is great, you'll get plenty of Air+Hotel deals, free extra nights and other free add-ons which would have cost you a heck of a lot more in previous years. Go Hawaii has a neat listing of all these deals.

And besides, Hawaii is Barack Obama's home state. You can vacation like the President - bodysurfing on the beach, eat shave ice and plate lunches, go to the zoo and play some golf - if you go to Hawaii for a romantic Valentine's Day.
